As I understand it, it was to be played at 2 pm but that could have been wrong to start with or changed since I heard that.

So if 2-2 = quarters

When's the last time JOB scored for the MNT? Was it against Portugal in WC 2002?

Anyways, by far the most interesting thing we'll get out of this game is what lineup the US put on the field. I wonder if this info will become available.

Also, it's great to see EJ score. The Battery are a decent team, and maybe EJ is possibly finding his form, finally.

JOB scored a game winning goal in the gold cup last year.

Meanwhile, this wasn't a goal for the MNT - just a goal in a scrimmage . . .

Hell, when was the last time he played?
I'm excited that he's healthy enough to get on the field. The USMNT will be for better if we have a healthy JOB available.

JOB scored off a free kick?

Didn't realize Johnny could strike a deadball. We've got enough lefties though...

I hope JOB didn't pull a hammy as he struck the ball.

Johnson and O'Brien score, good for their confidence.

JOB scored a game-tying goal against Honduras in the GC semis last year. Gooch scored the game-winner in that game.

And it was one heck of a game to bring my little brother to to get his first cap! Man those Hondurans could shut up in a heartbeat.

Richmond fans should really play this up when they next meet the Battery.

Johnson and O'Brien score, good for their confidence.

I watched the CL final yesterday with a guy I play with who used to play on the same club team as EJ. I asked him what he thought was up with the guy -- loss of confidence in recent months perhaps?

He said no way, that confidence was the least of Eddie's problems. He said basically he's just a lazy player, and so full of himself that he thinks he doesn't have to try as hard (at least in MLS).

Hopefully Arena will take care of that problem if that is in fact the correct diagnosis.
