Buying tickets while waiting for conditional tix

I'm on the wait list for conditional tickets to a certain match that I would like to attend. If tickets for that match go on sale again, can I buy them even though I already paid for conditional tickets to the same match?

Yes, you can and you should apply any way possible.
You can cancel your conditional ticket request before May 31st inclusive, or after May 31st, and I quote the OC: "It is not possible to cancel orders once they have been placed, or to return allocated tickets. The 2006 FIFA World Cup Ticketing Center, however, will ensure that you are not allocated any tickets for a match if you have already obtained or are going to obtain tickets for a match on the same day via one of the regular sales phases."

If you were able to buy a ticket during phase 5 yellow or R
This game will be automatically taken out of your list of conditional ticket.
If you were allocated any tickets, rest assure it cannot be the same game you bought.

"Basically, participants in the conditional ticket programme can also apply for tickets without restrictions within sales phases 3 to 5 for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™. The regulations regarding ticket types, dates and quantities continue to apply for purchased tickets. This means that the purchase of tickets during sales phases 3 to 5 may mean that one or more of the matches from your selection in the conditional ticket programme can no longer be considered during allocation."

Of course, all the above assumes that you are applying for the other phases under the same name, passport number and probably credit card as the conditional tickets.
Though for the latter, I am not so sure since strangely enough, they were accepting VISA for the conditional tickets. Makes me wonder why, but then there are so many wonders in this WC tickets sale process :)

Thanks for the info, I was worried that if they went yellow again and I got through that I would get an error saying that I had already bought for tickets to that match.
