does that mean they'll have to play with michelle/talavera in the libertadores, even if they get a replacement like corona?

The transfer makes sense.. . Supposedly Chivas would get Corona and JP Rodriguez from Tecos, sell Oswaldo to Tigres who are also going after Cuauh.. . Oswaldo is on of the best paid players in the MFL, he is getting up there in age and now would be the ideal time to transfer him : Chivas can make a profit and go after another, younger, named player.

according to chivas' website, they would not look elsewhere for a goalie if valdo leaves the mfl for some other league (since there is no way he'll go to another mexican team), they would look to michel y tala to hold down the fort. for chivas sake, i hope they reconsider and get a goalie with some experience, (maybe saucedo )[why not?].

Vergara is crazy!!

Chivas | En principio, niega Chivas que Oswaldo vaya a Tigres
* "Saldría sólo al extranjero, pero…"
* "Si Oswaldo se va, no buscaremos otro arquero"

Sounds like mediotiempo jumped the gun like they did on the Morales (Ramon's brother) story.

I really think Osvaldo will only leave Chivas if he goes to another club outside of Mexico.
Just see it, he's happy in Chivas,he has grown to be a symbol of Chivas,he is still a great player.I just don't think he will go,unless it is to a club outside of Mexico, since he as always wanted to play in foreign lands.

I thought Michel was pretty good. A lot better than talavera has been playing anywayz. Plus don't chivas also have the goal keeper from the sub-17 in their youth ranks? So they can have michel as 1, talavera as backup, and in 2-3 years maybe that sub-17 goalie will be ready for first division. selling oswaldo would give them money to replace salcido once he leaves, and i don't think the chivas need much more after that, i think they are solid everywhere else. Except maybe a central defender to help michel.
after selling oswaldo and replacing salcido, chivas shouldn't mess with the team cuz they are quality and could win the clausura with this formula.

I dont want to get into any of this mess but let me bring up a point. Some of you seem to be for the selling of owsaldo and salcido in this offseason. Do you have any idea what it would do to the club. Without those two, who would lead and organize the defense? Maza? Even if the young guys are ready, they are not ready to lead a defense. Losing one is ok, but both leaving could be disaterous to your team.

and omar bravo is the other who might leave i think their was scouts at the sao paolo game looking at those three and if La Volpe leaves to another club outside of mexico for sure he has put eye on Gonzalo Pineda they asked him who is the best player in mexico NT and he said Gonzalo to my surprise i guess he works the best in his tactics

Lets just wait and see what happens. It's not cool to get the player's hopes (and ours) up like this spreading all sorts of rumors of outside clubs being interested in our players. I'd rather hold off on all of this till after the World Cup.

I think they said he is not leaving unless he stays in Europe. I hope he doesn't go to Tigres.

We could manage well without both Salcido and Sanchez, did you not see the last few games they played without them? They're good and give alot of support in the defense but they aren't a really a crucial part of the defense. We can sacrifice and give both up, we still have Araujo Esparza and others who are with the Fuerzas Basica, mind you Campeon al derrotar al Atlas 4-2 global.

LA Opinion ( the mexican newspaper from LA) published a few weeks ago, that for the friendly between Barcelona and Chivas, to be played in August-I believe-Oswaldo and Gio will be playing FOR Barcelona, Oswaldo being tried as Barca GK on recomendation from Rafa Marquez, But I couldnt find confirmation on the Barcelona website.

He may be the Cover-boy for Chivas, but if he does well in Germany. He is gone, no doubt. Plus, he deserves the chance to play in Europe.
