I think Goleo looks sweet..despite he does not have pants:)...nice lion..


well I like Lion Goleo:

1. he is lion and I like lions. ..i´m also Leo..astrology stuff

2. he has cool name...like bltleo

3. I like because lion represents Bavaria where I grew up and Bayer Leverkusen has also Lion in our symbol.

4. he has no pants..but he is very funny

and Leo or Lion is Lion...the king.:)

Apparently, the national symbol of Germany is an eagle. The English obsess over some sort of triumvirate of lions. Besides with only a jersey and no shorts, the mascot seems bent on being an exhibitionist.

I can see why a German wouldn't want anything to do with a spying pervert.

I knew this would happen, i guess they are really wishing right now they took my Coolio mascot idea instead of the cheep Goleo rip off.

It is possible to buy Goleo in the USA?

In Cologne shops I saw many Goleos, in german jersey, in dutch jersey for dutch fans, in french and english jersey...but I did not see goleo with US flag.....of course there are many "neutral" Goleos -for any country.

I think all the fans who will come to Germany will buy Goleo...maybe they should wait....

Cologne is full of these world cup products, souvenirs....we live with soccer:)

shops are decorated with german flags, with balls, everything is only soccer here...

Interesting...they choose a Bavarian firm to make the mascot, and the firmuses a lion, the symbol of Bavaria. Almost predictable. Does anyone know if it was the firm's choice to use a lion, or did the organizing committee make that decision, and then choose the firm?

And the funny thing is, in that photo, is that it's the mascot of his own club side!

i really dont like goleo,its the worst mascot ever.
i would understand if the WC would be in someware in africa and goleo would be then a symbol but what a lion represents to germany ??

i don't mind him. but what i don't understand is that they made Pille female. pretty bad message there: it's ok to kick around the girls.

Pille is also the most severely handicapped mascot ever. no legs! no arms!

maybe they should have given her a speech impediment too
