It's gonna be in New York is what I heard. Looks like I'll be hopping on a plane to NY, never been there and it's not often I get to see teams like Celtic.

No dramatic changes - Strachan (http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,1861_1330997,00.html) - TeamTalk

Gordon Strachan will resist the temptation to make wholesale changes when Celtic take on Chivas de Guadalajara at Giants Stadium on Friday. Gordon Strachan's side have lost all three of their friendlies to date, without scoring in the build-up to the new campaign. The 4-0 humiliation by DC United in Washington, which followed two defeats in Poland, was compounded by the straight red card issued to new signing Kenny Miller. Yet as Celtic move east to the Meadowlands in New Jersey, Strachan will stand by his plan to stick with his most experienced players in a bid for a morale-boosting victory over their Mexican opponents.

Pitch woes could trash your season (http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/hi/sport/6027457.html) - Glasgow Evening Times

Mo Johnston has warned Celtic's lethargic squad that playing on New York Giants' plastic surface tomorrow could cause serious injury. The controversial Old Firm star was manager of MLS club Red Bulls until last month and all his side's home game were played in the Giants Stadium. Celtic play Mexican side Chivas Guadalajara on the Astroturf pitch and Johnston has warned that previous players have suffered a catalogue of injuries on it.

"It's like running on concrete," he said. "There have been lots of injuries of every kind over the past few seasons because of the problems the pitch throws up. If the Celtic lads thought the plastic at Dunfermline was bad, then they ain't seen nothing yet. What you have to remember is that the local teams and the Mexican side they are facing are used to the conditions and adapt accordingly. You can't make proper tackles at times or even twist and turn without thinking about the consequences. It could prove costly if one of the main players goes over on their ankle or falls the wrong way."
