We need to sart putting the BOX goals at DCU games I mean look those portable goals dont keep anything in. I dont know it just looks odd when somebody scores and the ball comes right out.

Now we know who Roy Carroll is on BigSoccer.
You know what looks odd.. when you shoot toward goal and it doesn't go in. That's odd. Not what shape the box is in.
Now... where's my coffee? I need to get uncessarily snippy before going to work.

Sure. Once we have our own stadium and the goals don't need to be moved for baseball.
I love RFK, aesthetics of the goals and all.

What's the difference? Let me rephrase that ... Who cares?

We also need bigger goals, the kind that even drunken monkeys could score on. We need entertainment during halftime where the inflatable El Pollo Compero gets on stage with Chuck Brown. We need to eliminate the offside rule to allow for more scoring. We need people to buy my CD, "ginger" at Amazon now for pennies on the dollar.
Sorry... seem to have died my hair red for a moment there. Carry on.

But that would deprive us of the joy of seeing Bo Oshoniyi with an even-more-confused-than-usual look on his face...

I agree, but I gave up on this plea back in 2001.
The argument back then was the underfield piping that allowed the field to drain quickly. Apparently they took it out when the Nationals came, but nobody thought to cast sleeves in place with plugs to fill them.
Forget it, we'll have goals to please the aesthetes in the new stadium. Until then, philistines like Sachin have won.... just like the terrorists.

I want the old English goals from the early 1990's... They were box goals about 2 feet deep!
BTW - DC United uses Kwik goals because they are a corporate sponsor....

Would the new goals be bigger?? That's what we need to increase scoring and bring soccer along in this country.

Hey, they're endorsed by Convey. How would he know what the goal looks like?

I say worry about it when we have our own stadium.
I do find box goals much more attractive. That's just me.

WTF is this thread about anyway? Box goals? It never occurred to me that the ones we use could be improved upon.
They're regulation size, the ball goes in, you get 1 point.
???
Didn't the season start already?
