Yes, with the Game fixing scandal in Italy ( a HUGE DISGRACE!) going on, they have stripped the Italian ref crew for the WC of their credentials.

This being the case, an American officiating crew should now be in if FIFA does the right thing. Amercian referee Kevin Stott and an American crew with maybe Brian Hall should be added to the WC referee crews.

LOL, it's not as simple as that. There are 4 other equally capable teams who could step in, and who, you may argue, are ahead of the Americans in the pecking order having been on the original Development Group list. If they replace De Santis, I still think it'll be Guezzaz's team who get the call, what with his WC experience.

We wait to see what FIFA do...

Yes, we will have to wait to see what action FIFA takes.
However, Brian Hall is also WC experienced, in case you didn't realize that.

Not a chance that Brian Hall would be invited at this late date. He was not part of the group attending the preliminary World Cup clinics.

Yes, I did realise that dberg077, thanks very much. Brian Hall, however, is not, and was not, ever on the candidates list for World Cup 2006, in case you didn't realise that.

Replacing the corrupt with the incompetent?

And yes, I watch MLS every weekend, that's why I say that.
