I have Booked train tickets which i thought were suitable times to get from airport to the train station. But i will miss the train after doing reaserch. Is it possible for me to change these tickets for different time tickets? as i have looked on the website again and found brilliant times and it costs the same amount as previous tickets. I should recieve the tickets through my door this week sometime. I got them from www.bahn.co.uk ..... I cant find a number in which i could contact them with to ask them about this? What do you think i should do?

Thanks in Advance

Bailey

Me again :)

You're landing at Frankfurt, aren't you? And there's a station at the airport?

I may be missing the point entirely, of course.

The first thing I saw when I clicked on that link was a phone number. Have you tried calling it.

Are your tickets only good for a specific train. Usually they are not, and can be used on any train within a given time period. If the tickets are only good on a specific train, DB has a €15 cancellation fee, and you can cancel them up to one day before you specified departure date.

I am landing at Frankfurt Hahn Airport and from there need to take the shuttle to frankfurt train station which takes 1 hour 45 all together... and i will miss my train because of this.... i have looked on the website and found perfect times for me now and its exactly the same price as the ones i have purchased. I am wondering if they could cancell my booking in some way and just send me the newer time ones in replacement?

I have to wait for tickets to arrive as i booked them other day so i am unsure about that question... but i booked them for a certain time so i am sure i will have to use them for that train. Surely they could just issue me with the ones i want as they are the same price?

Tell us what kind of ticket you have. If you give us some details we can help you.

If it is a Spar 25 or 50 ticket, you will need to cancel it, and this will cost you €15. If it is a full price ticket you will need to do absolutely nothing, as your ticket is not actually linked to any specific train. In that case it is only the reservation cost that you'll eat.

But we can't help you if we don't know the situation.

EDIT: posted before your previous post was up.

Even if you specified a time when purchasing does not mean you are linked to a specific train. It may only mean that you have a seat reservation for that train.

Wait until you get your tickets and see what it says on them. If you have paid full price for a train, ICE/IC/RE etc, they are fully transferable. The only thing that is not is the reservation, you should have no problem getting on the later train with your ticket, however you might not get a seat. I use the trains all the time here and it really is very easy.

Is this is round trip or one way ticket? DB does not sell discounted one way tickets, so if that's what it is then you can take any train you want.

Gotcha.

As I said in my first post, you can cancel them for a €15 fee. That's all.

Do you think they would issue me new 1ns because they are exactly the same price? and just cancell my previous ones?

Or do you think i will have to pay for new ones now? If thats the case i will not bother telling them and cancell previous ones as thats gonna cost aroun £10 which is hopeless in my opinion.

If they are Spar 50 they are good on the train you bought them for and only that train. They cannot be transfered to another train.

Bailz, be realistic now, the €15 charge for cancellation isn't going to be in addition to what you've already paid. Why would anybody cancel, ever?

If you cancel, you get your money back minus €15, that's what cancellation charges are about.

Oh right i thought if i cancelled it i wouldnt get any money back at all... and they just charged you €15. If thats not the case and you get money back but hav to pay €15 then i will do. Thanks guys
