If any of you can get your hands on it either online or MUTV abroad channel you should check it out.

By what he's saying:

- we're only in for one major signing this summer and it'll be a central midfielder.

- He literally said 'Wayne Rooney is the most important player at this club'

- He expects Cristanio Ronaldo to be world class in the next 3-4yrs.

- serious injuries have been a bitch (Giggs' cheek, Smith, Scholes, Keane etc)

- Brown is injury prone and Vidic was brought in because they don't expect Wes to stay fit for a season! :(

- He expects Evra to prove his worth next season.

- The reserves are fantastic (lol)

- Jonny Evans and Darron Gibson have been exceptional at youth level.

- If someone turns up on the market who is too good to be true, you go in for them, irrespective of the position

- He's happy with the rest of the team except midfield...

- He's happy with the age of the squad.

Very interesting interview, the press will be taking snippets here and there for their stories over the next few days I would think.

And, if we were in for Ballack, we're 0 for 1 so far.

You can never tell what the gaffer has up his sleeve... he's trying to adjust everybody's expectation levels, at the very least.

Maybe he's implying that he doesn't expect Ruud to leave. :o

Maybe they will sign a striker, just not a major name. Kuyt is one.

While we're on the subject of robbing Feyenoord why not go after Kalou while his stock is plummeting (sort-of). He would be a great additional winger and we would not have to break the back to get him.

Yeah but the reports coming from there indicate that his teammates aren't happy with him because his performances have been lackluster and his commitment has been less than 100% recently. After this whole saga with Ruud, that doesn't sound to me like the type of player Fergie would be interested in right now. The kid undeniably has boatloads of talent though, so we'll see.

Well not so much that as I had hoped that Chelsea's more recent spending will remind Ruud and SAF what we're up against and cause them to have a Brokeback moment or something. Yeah, I can hope.

Ruud to SAF: Why can't I quit you?

I can understand him saying one MAJOR midfield signing. But hopefully that doesnt limit the signings to just one player. I would feel a lot more comfortable if we had another midfielder at the club. Maybe someone that is young and can learn and fill in when needed. Obvious candidates are Gago, Maduro etc.

I doesn't matter that much if we bring in Mascherano or Carrick or Diarra. We must and i stress we must bring in atleast 1 more AM or CM. Fergie should then look at playing a 4-2-4 system or if we are a goal behind or playing against teams who have bunkered defences switch to a 3-5-2 system.
---------VDS-----------
--------BAck 4-------------
-----new signing---new signing----
---------Scholes------------
ronaldo--------------Rooney
---------Ruud--------------
This is how our starting lineup should look like
If we need variation we can switch to
------------VDS--------------
---GN---Rio-------Vidic----------
----CM----------CM--------
ronaldo-----rooney----Giggs/park
--saha--------ruud-----------

we take of Heinze and utilize giggs or park as a winger down the left and since they would be subs having fresh legs they can track back and also attack.

We def. need 2 and not 1 signing. Fergie please sell Oshea, Silvestre and Fletcher if need be to generate more pocket money. I know Glazer Pa is a stingy fella.:D :D

Anyone got any suggestions for who the midfielder will be?......

I know you guys were after Ballack and he clearly would have done the job. But since you didn't land him, what other world class CMs are on the market?.

I don't think that's being discussed at all in this forum actually. ;)
