I'm figuring since nothing exciting for Bayern can really go on this summer until after the World Cup is done, I'm sure we are going to go talk about it quite a bit. And since we have quite a few Bayern Boys staying in Germany for this summer's World Cup, I figured we could use a thread to cheer them on :D

Argentina's squad will be announced at 17:00 hrs Buenos Aires time.

However, Martin Demichelis has just said in an interview that he was not selected by Pekerman. The babelfish translation came out to "I have no desire to live or to play anymore". Ouch...

Apparently, Pekerman might choose Aldo Duscher instead. That's a stupid decision in my books.

Wow...poor Martin...especially with sucha wonderful season....what else would a coach want from a player? Its obvious Peckerman has not seen him play or he's just a giant arsehole. I guarantee there are at least 10 players on the final squad that were worse than Martin....

Yeah, too bad for Demichelis really. Duscher wasn't picked either after all (thank god..), but Lionel Scaloni took Demi's place. What really sucks for Demichelis as well, is that Argentina already have Mascherano and Cambiasso in the same position.

Their depth at some positions is positively frightening...

Pekerman knows Martin very well, probably better than most us of here. He knows what he's doing. Apparently he didnt perform as expected in the NT, when he was given his chance.

Demichelis in shock

Demi definately needs a big hug right now with some of the things he said how he feels. I feel bad for him, its just unfortunate that Argentina is loaded with 2 defensive mids that happen to be world class in front of him.

Perhaps if Bayern were to sign Aguero, Mr. "PECKERHEAD" would have more opportunities to see his "star in waiting" Demichelis play.

Just a thought, Uli....

on second thought, the world cup really does not come at a better time for our boys to mature when we badly need that level of experience in Bayern. It's just too bad that Basti cannot play along with them!

Thats a load of shit man, he was barely given a chance for the NT to begin with, even when he was displaying terrifict form for Bayern.

Plus, DM is not his only position. He is also a CB and I doubt there were many Argentinian defenders, IF ANY, who had a better season than Martin.

i might be wrong, but wasnt he giving like only 1 or 2 starts in a couple of friendlies. I dont see how that is fair to a player to judge his quality.

Anyways i guess it just means Argentina is weaker..........(not that it will help Gemrany NT anybit, but i guess u never know)

When Germany destroyed a lesser Luckenwalde side, Lahm fell on his arm really hard and Klinsmann is afraid he might of broken his elbow. Germany won the friendly match against the amateur side 7-0. The staff is worried if he will be ok for the WC so he went to the hopital to take some x-rays. Atleast it is only his elbow and not a knee or something.

it didn't take too long for the media to finally tear the guy a new one. i understand what he did and it was unfortunate. without him arsenal definately wouldn't have gone as far as they did in this years CL, nor do i think they would have even qualified for next years as well. so i am not worried about him in charge at the WC, the guy didnt let a goal in while he was in goal for Arsenal in the CL, 4 goals were let in by Arsenal if i remember correctly and he was suspended 2 matches in the beginning when the first two goals were let in, and got kicked out of this past match for another two goals so...he's done pretty darn well. But I was cheering for Barcelona to kick Arsenals backside, and they scared me until the last 15 minutes of the match. Luckily the better side won :)
