Stefan Fatsis mentions soccer occasionally on his weekly NPR segments, and he responds to comments that they pass along to him. I wrote a somewhat critical letter in response to a segment he did when Glazer bought Man Utd; he wrote back and we exchanged a few emails. He knows his soccer, and I'm glad NPR has him on.
