They unveiled a new and unremarkable logo, straight from 1957, a shield with fruit salad on top, a T — for taxpayers? — in the background, the word Toronto across it. All done up in dark grey, light grey, red and white. They trademarked it, but why? Who would steal it?

I guess he thinks this is the hizzle fashizzle:

Well, the city is different, but it's still a tossed salad and not a melting pot — which is one of its strengths and why it's not a U.S. city. Pro soccer has never worked here because soccer fans are loyal to their home countries, to their father's teams.

"Tossed salad"? Take off to the Great Brown North, then.

They don't even have the CN Tower in thier logo anymore. It's just a mapleleaf and the words Toronto Rock. I like the one they use now.

How long did it take everybody else non-Canadian to figure out TO = Toronto, Ontario? That was a mite confusing.

How about these for confusing ....
On the downside, the Kansas City franchise is struggling so badly it will have to be moved.

Is 'will' a Canadian word for 'may'?

[QUOTE]Attendance is spotty outside marquee cities Los Angeles and Chicago. And no team has turned a profit.

I thought the Galaxy posted a profit last year?
