View Full Version : The lack of the Vorstopper: our undoing?

So true, HerrRuprecht! Wörns and Hamann could have added stability to our defense. Now we have Grinsis "Junge Himmelstürmer" trying to score more goals than our defense concedes.
the revolution is on the way see ballack quote:
http://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussball/0,1518,419219,00.html
"
grinsi shouldve been fired italy at the latest

I'd say bring the LIBERO back. Old fashioned? Maybe, but looking at our current defense I think we could use someone who stands behind everybody else and can clear the ball if the defenders screw up, lose a one on one or are once again simply too slow.
Darn, I knew Klinsmann should have nominated Beckenbauer.....:D
well greece won the euro with that
but grinsi would never do it i say fire him now and bring sammer/rehagel/hitzfeld as an emergency coach together with ballack it could be fixed

Both of them will make the history books as the laughing stock of German soccer...

at least he is a reg starter at pool unlike some grinsi players
How many matches did Didi play as a starter for the Pool last season?
He had his chance playing a friendly against Holland for 45 min. He had the poorest match in his whole career there, I would say.
As much as I like him in the past, he is not an option now. Period.

No offense, but picking one game ain't seem fair. How many poor matches did Kehl, Frings or Ballack have? Does the year 2004 mean anything to you?
There are no other options.

No offense to you I hope.
Didi was a great player in his own right in his own era. However, we just have to live with it that he is no better than Frings or Kehl in the same position in the last year; and in fact even on the same footing, taking Frings and Kehl seem to be the correct decision because they are better in forms, younger and physically better.

Do you know the internal feud also occurred at the French camp? Between
Henry and Zidane?
I hope Germany will take care of themselves smoothly.

well admitetley these are details the real problem is tactics the hurra/harakiri fussball u can also win with inferior player material if the team is tactically placed correctley by a good coach see ger 1986, kaiserslautern after they came up from 2nd league, dort u. bm under hitzfeld when they won the cl ger 2002 and greece 2004 etc etc...
in the end its the results that counts or would u rather change with holland attractive yes but what have u gotten in exchange eh?
i rather play shyte and win than the other way round

The beauty of organising friendlies is that the results would not impose an immediate fatal consequence to your pursuit of an ultimate success in a tourney.
That's what Klinsi has been doing, testing his mantle under all options. You won't see him planning an all attack operation against the likes of Brazil, Argentina ... contemplating what Germany will suffer. He may instead be installing German bunkers and attempting to win on the fast break. This is what they are training behind closed doors now with Odonkor, Klose, Poldi ... how to beat your rival in various one-on-one situations.

Doesn't sound very promising. You're implying that Grinser tried to fool us and the components. Well then he's done a good job. I just hope that our bunkers will survive the onslaught.
