what a fvking goal by emre.
Solano sucks at RB, can't defend and certainly can not tackle to save his life, I think he also injured a player today.

YEAH THATS TRUE solano played in that position @ boca, but now he has being playing as a right mid for more than 7 or 8 years? and yeah what happened to stephen carr, is he injured??
well solano better plays as his regular position, he is not that fast, plus he has a better control of the ball than defending

he hasnt done that bad...apparently he has done the job better than Carr...which makes me wonder how bad Carr had been playing

well he did set up one goal..so that evens out the own goal;)
Solano curled in a peach of a ball from the right which found the French striker Sibierski, who stretched his bald head forward to nod the ball past Reading's Marcus Hahnemann

newcastle has one of the worst defences in the EPL if not the worst; they are lucky they have good keepers (Given and Harper)

Sol: I want to earn a new deal

Nobby Solano has pushed his future to one side to help Newcastle United drag themselves away from the relegation zone.
The Peruvian's current contract expires at the end of the season, as do those of defenders Titus Bramble and Craig Moore.
But, as in the case of the central defenders, Solano, who signed a two-year deal when he returned to Tyneside from Aston Villa last summer, has not yet entered into any talks about a new one.
In the meantime, Solano has enhanced an already sky-high reputation with the United fans for the way he has deputised at right-back over the past month in the absence of the injured Stephen Carr.
This prompted his manager Glenn Roeder, on the eve of today's match with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park, to describe Solano as the ultimate professional.
The 31-year-old Solano himself said: "Obviously I would love a new contract but nobody's talking about it at the moment.
"All I am doing is concentrating on playing as many games as I can, and doing my best for the team.
"I'm enjoying playing at right-back, and I'm enjoying playing for the fans here, who are the best.
"I'm very happy at St James' Park, but for the moment it is best to concentrate on my football."
By dropping back into defence, Solano has delayed the day when he takes over as outright leading goal-scorer of the current playing staff.
At the moment Solano is joint top along with Shola Ameobi on 46 goals, but with the gangling striker sidelined for the rest of the season after his hip operation, it's an odds-on bet the Peruvian international will soon be out on his own.
He has only struck twice this season, with both goals coming in the Carling Cup tie against Portsmouth.
Solano ( who has made 287 appearances for Newcastle United ( wanted to take the penalty awarded by referee Rob Styles against Reading on Wednesday night.
But he eventually allowed Oba Martins to convert the spot-kick as the striker had not scored a home league goal since his move to St James' Park.

Glenn Roeder faces going to reigning champions Chelsea without a recognised right-back after an injury to Nolberto Solano.
The Peruvian has been a revelation as an emergency fullback in the absence of Stephen Carr, but he limped off in the second half of Saturday's victory at Blackburn Rovers with a groin strain and is unlikely to figure either at Stamford Bridge or in the home game against Watford next weekend. Carr is not expected back for at least another week, so Roeder must decide whether to play James Milner there as he did when Solano first went off, or hand 19-year-old Paul Huntington his first start for the club after the youngster came on and did well in the closing stages of Saturday's victory....

Man, that game should've been a goleada for Chelsea.
