or maybe you say that cause u are a Villareal fan ?!!
I mean, didn't Parma get last year all the way to the Semifinal of the UEFA cup, playing all the UEFA matches with youngsters , because they were to busy avoiding relegation in Serie A ?!
Does the fact that Milan has been at the top of Europe for the past 4 years mean anything ?!!
There's not much of a difference between EPL , La Liga & Serie A, when it comes to Europe usually its the team more than the country that matters. Dont forget it's Real Madrid that has won 9 CL's for Spain , and Barca 1. Comparing to EPL , Serie A, and Bundesliga,; the signs are that LaLiga has been dominated by Real for most of its history.

The problem with that statement is that it completely neglects that Spain wouldn't be number one in the UEFA co-efficient ranking (and has been for years and years now) if only Madrid had been getting the results in Europe.

Is that the same co-efficient that has Romania near the top!!!!!

No, that's the yearly one.
I'm talking about the one where they average it out for 5 years, like say this one (http://www.xs4all.nl/~kassiesa/bert/uefa/data/method3/crank2006.html)
Your example actually makes my point as well. The fact that Romania are so high this season is because the points they made this season is spread amongst 3 teams. So when their 2 teams did good in Europe, the average goes high like they are now for them.
For Spain to be first in that ranking (doing good 5 years straight) with 7 teams, most all the teams would have to do good in Europe for the average to stay up after having to spread it out amongst 7 (or 8 like last season if I'm not mistaken)
So yeah........ !!!!!!

Well it depends how you rate the players.
In the context of Spanish soccer the players with the better eye-foot coordination do better because they have more sympathy from refs and the football is just organized differently.
Personally I think more than half of those players would likely not be able to hack it in other leagues even excluding the other big 2 (like france for example.)
Still, there is obviously a very talented array of players applying their trade in espagna and some of them are getting the credit they deserve for having a great european season this year.

Thomas Rosicky Next year for atletico, and Pires for Villareal!
La Liga is full of underground south american talents that are underated, and Spanish technical players that are really skillfull. They have players from Africa and from Easterm Europe that are really technical and with great vision. La Liga is curently the best league on earth and the most competitive and most attactive to watch, but is not the richest. The Premier has more money. Ive meet people that have watch the premiership for a good portion of time, and when they watched La Liga most of them were shocked with the style they play, the skills it contains, and they fell in love with the Spanish league to the point that, thats the only league they watched. The Premier is a nice league, but the mid teams are light years away from mid teams in la liga! and Overall they are much stronger teams by players and quality in la liga, than in any other league in the world. it might not be the fastest pace of style, but its defenetly a really inteligent and skillful league! But the problem is that people will not see this, till there is more founding in La Liga in order to be broadcasted equally as the Premiership does in many english speaking countries. Because the only people who will disagree with u are always going to be English, that is a sourt of pride (which is understandable) but it dosent make the point that the Premiership is as strong as La Liga, bacause now days is defenetly not!
Cheers for La Liga de las Estrellas! :)

All you're doing here is just naming players as if every single one is implied as a "star' or 'excellent'. If thats what you're trying to convey then you should re-think what you're saying.
Without giving detailed analysis for players whom are not in the standard that I (presonally) hold, I think its fair to say that the majority of people (especially on BigSoccer) generally associate players with south american names as the creme of the crop; while there are brilliant south american players plying their trade in Spain, many are just decent middle class players at the very most.
Personally (correct me if you think otherwise) I regard La Liga to be an entertaining league bar the fact that it is totally bloated with foreign talent up to the ears. Seriously; the number of foreigners (mostly latin american) outnumber domestic players nearly 3 to 1: that means for every spanish player there are 3 foreigners circulating in La Liga. Still, liga is by far the most technical league on the market and is growing rapidly in practically every sense.
Overall, while Liga is certainly the king of football entertainment, it needs work on giving Real and Barca some more competition.

Real and Barcelona have to deal with really complicated teams like, sevilla, Villareal, Valencia, Deportivo, Osasuna, Betis, Espanyol, Atletico or Celta..etc
These aint your regular midtable teams, they are really complicated to winn and they have many stars and they all play with a different style! Rijaark when in semifinals said he rather play Milan then Villareal! Atletico is the only team that has beat Barcelona twice in a row this year by more than two goals! yes they are a lot of foreigners in la Liga, but thats why is the best league, and because of the ammount of talent!
All the players up there are excellent or cracks, ive watch all of them play, and almost all have lots of skills! Fichajes.net is one of la Liga current and best forums, the problem is that a team like Osasuna or mallorca is broadcasted maybe twice a month in the Usa, but we watch all the games regularly so we know the distinction of Mediocre, excellent, crack of the many players currenty playing, I told somebody in this forum about Arango a player from mallorca which I consider excellent long time ago, and he is really poping out now, same with Benayoun and excellent player that played in Racing and know plays in Southhampton. Jonathan, Navas, Rikki, Jesuli, Messi, Iraola, Hector Front, Cani, Zabaleta, Valencia, Puerta, Antonito, Arduiz, Albiol, Ruben, Yeste, Moha, Carlos Vela etc... they are lots and lots of talent and most of the youth talents come from Spain, which maybe someday at this pace might have the best National squad in the world in terms of quality if they keep producing players like that!

It`s impressive that such a small country as Spain it is have this year once again the best legue in europe.
In addition to the mass of spanish speaking american players and the professional club management I guess it`s the sunny climate why lots of good players wants to play in ESPAGNA.... ;)
Want to go to Nou Camp or may be Bernabeu this year!
pues entonces amigos!

What do you mean small country? Spain is Europe's second or third largest!!!
...regarding to the number of inhabitants. It takes after Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Ukraine, England the seventh place...
Anyway, Itīs not so important anymore, reagarding that the relevance of european countries`own procreation is creeped in because of UEFAs deciscion that mass of foreigners could play in domestic leagues..
The club management is more important, don`t kow in which way they promote their clubs... Itīs impressive!

maybe if it were a legitimate league, every year it seems like the league is handed to juve by officials and underground bookies
inter is the 3rd best team yet they never seem to do anything
i used to think serie a was better than premier league, but im having my doubts now, and i dont like the premier league at all
la liga is the best league period...osasuna might be a disappointment next year though
