I was under the impression that America had more international silverware, someone on these boards said I was wrong and that Chivas had more international titles.
Is this true?

Club América.- 2 Interamerican cups, 5 concacaf champions cups, 1 concacaf giants cup and 2 Libertadores semifinals and 1 participation in 2006 CWC.
Chivas.- 1 concacaf champions cup and 2005 Libertadores semifinals.

I never said Chivas had more internationa titles...I said that Chivas had a lot of international titles that aren't oficial...winning Concacaf titles is not really impressive anyway...

why do you keep talking about the past??? the question is about the present not the past...and Chivas has won a lot more internatinal titles....but please lets try to focus on the future...
whether you meant that they had more than America, you were wrong. whether you meant they had more than 1 title, you were still wrong. Just like your club couldn't win these titles...
America has won the Campeon de Campeones 5 times. They also have won 5 Copas. They have never won a "Copas de Oros de Occidente" because they did not hail from the western region of Mexico. They also won 5 Concacaf Cup titles.
They have won the following "unofficial" tournaments
1958. Torneo II Jarrito
1960. Torneo IV Jarrito
1981. Cuandrangular (vs. river plate, atlante, chivas)
1982. Aguila Azteca (vs Necaxa, Independiente, Santos)
1983. Vendimia (vs Cadiz, Nottingham County) played in Spain

Also.... Chivas has not won 3 Campeonatos de Concacaf. Saprissa has. If you want to start taking credit for big brother... thats cool :D... just got to pass out the memo

Officially, chivas only won 1 concacaf champion cup (1962).
