That's your favorite record of theirs? I think both "Smile" and "Nowhere" are better.

"The Yanks did not qualify for another Cup until Italia ´90, where players such as Alexei Lalas and Kobe Jones brightened up our screens with their complicated haircuts, but unfortunately not our hearts, tumbling in the first round."

Not only is the name wrong, but I think Cobi "punk" Jones made his first World Cup appearance in 1994.

correct.

-------
International
One of only two USA players to have played every minute in both the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cups.
2004: Returned to the U.S. national team for the opening rounds of qualifying to 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany. Increased his cap total to 164, the best all-time among U.S. internationals.
2002: Tied former D.C. United midfielder Earnie Stewart with 11 all-time appearances in the World Cup finals as he played a key roles as a substitute against Portugal and Mexico.
1992: He made his first National Team appearance on 9/3 versus Canada.
--------
although the claim that Cobi played every minute of the '94 WC is incorrect, as he started every first round match there on the bench, but did make second half appearances in all three of those games. he did go 90 mins vs Brazil in the second round loss.
in '98 he did play every minute in France.
and he was also on the Olympic squad in '92:

"Toronto becomes the 13th franchise in MLS — and only one in Canada — with the league hoping to expand to 16 clubs by the 2010 season. That's one team per year for the rest of the decade, eh? :D
Hmm, since it's down to Cleveland and St. Louis, why not both? And the final one is ?

It's an arts weekly, our version of the Village Voice, and rarely covers sports. I suppose it's a good thing they're covering the team, although inaccurately as it were. I noticed that too when I was reading the print version.
Maybe the arty crowd who disdain most spectator sports are picking up on soccer, since it's so pure and beautiful. :)

Going Blank Again, Nowhere, and Stone Roses' self titled first album are my favorite of all time.

Atlanta? Pipe dream. Even less likely than Tulsa, which is very unlikely.
