I'm actually more interested in if there will be any surprise call-ups to the game than anything.
well obviously I want les bleus to play well too.
my prediction is 1-0 France

27th May at Stade de France.
I hope we'll win but hardly. I say 2-1 for France.

This is the kind of match that can go either way depending on how it unfolds given the context. So, if France is on fire : 4-1, otherwise a tight result.

Wouldn't that be refreshing

I think so.
Other games for WC preparation are not played in the Stade de France.
But something like a Zidane's jubilee might take place at the SdF.

and I freakin missed out on tickets by two days
optimism isn't the product of the team's recent results. That's why i predict a 1-0 or 1-1

I'm disgusted yet again with Domenech's decision to put BARTHEZ ahead of COUPET!! But I can live with it. We will have a very hard first game with the Swiss, concede a goal because of a usual Barthez slip-up. Then by the next game, Coupet will be given the nod. I'm hoping Barthez doesn't let me and many other French down by being the number one. I haven't seen too much of Chimbonda, but I heard he has a good season at Wigan, so that can always be a plus. I just knew Ribery would have been picked ahead of Pires, it was clear ever since. But Franck, you deserved it. :D Alou Diarra, many might think is a shock decision, but he has had a good season with Lens, so that's the reason. Should have been Jurietti for me, but Diarra is good enough. Saha in, Anelka out. Hmm, that's a tough one. Saha and Anelka both have the potential. The only difference between them is probably their finishing. Anelka has had an average season with Fener (From what I've heard in the news) while Saha has been pretty decent, coupled with some good runs. I still hoped Anelka was included, the guy is amazing on his day. But that would mean taking Wiltord out, which is ********ing out of question, Wiltord is still very useful. Cisse aswell, no surprises, atleast he plays better for France and is (hopefully) on a good run of form. And last but not least, Boumsong. Well, he is the type that gives you the scare when he defends or control the ball in his area of defense, because the guy is prone to making mistake. But he can jump well, mark well (bar the superstars), and head well. Picking him ahead of Phillipe is an alright choice, the last thing we need is a red card in a tight group like this. Boumsong has the patience atleast. Besides, I don't think he will start. It should be Thuram - Gallas/Silvestre. This is the projected lineup, which is cool.
---------------------Barthez------------------
-Sagnol-----Thuram-----------Silvestre---Gallas-
------------------Vieira/Makelele---------------
---Ribery/Dhorasoo-------------------Malouda---
----------------------Zidane-------------------
----------------------------Henry------------
----------------Trezeguet----------------
Either Makelele or Vieira, I think Vieira will start though. Nice backline I must say. Keeper worries me, but a defense like that should protect him. Malouda, starting LM, good choice. Ribery or Dhorasoo, but I feel Ribery will be given the nod. Zidane supporting Henry and Trezeguet. Sweet.
About France and Mexico. I predict 3-2 or 2-1. Trezeguet, Saha, Zidane. Or Trezeguet Zidane.

I say 1-1 or 0-0, i don't think anyone wants to risk themselves before the WC kicks off, it'll probably be a quiet match with not to much attacking, just of ball posession and midfield battle

I think France should win no problem... Probably 3 to 1. Zidane, Henry and Ribery
