SC Bearkat - FC Exile

A III team for me at home again. Should be another sell-out as I have one of the series cream-puffs at home this Sunday to keep the supporters happy.

Now to figure out a way to make it to Rd 5.

Heavy Water FC - Burlington Phury

Great, i get matched up with the worst kind of scum imaginable... a phish fan.

he's just came back up into the fourth division this season like i am. But of course, since I am probably the worst team in d4 he's a little better than me.

my team spirit is gonna be through the roof for this one, i'm definitely gonna normal, maybe MOTS.

I hope to kick his ass straight back to vermont.

ok, after looking at this page (http://usa.hatstats.info/standings.php?level=4&rank=0&round=99&series=0&sort=rank) i'm not giving myself enough credit.... there are waaay worse teams in d4 than me...

too bad none of them are in my series.

Brays Bayou - Knightz of Lord

Knightz are formerly of III, but they've slipped significantly since those halcyon days. Having fallen as far as V (last season), the squad is still arguably not even as good as Brays -- and they'll be catching us at home at Braesmont Park, coming off a practical walkover against a newly-assigned team. Despite the seeding, Brays should be a heavy favorite to win the match. Knightz will bear watching on the weekend to see if they're clearly focusing on the cup match.

One other thought -- it's actually surprising that Brays is seeded ahead of Knightz. If not for the fsck-up in the botification, they would be seeded behind us: we were a 7th-place IV team, they were a 1st-place V team.

I'm (Mongrel FC 221913) hosting Vindignation of IV.15. I've got a shot if I can get my starters off of the injured reserve.

Knightz of Lord were in my series last year. They dominated everyone and went undefeated. :(

1. Knightz of Lord 14 61 - 4 40
2. Black Hawks F.C 14 49 - 13 34
3. Titan FC 14 49 - 25 30
4. Greeley Soro 14 24 - 14 22
5. Norge Vikings 14 27 - 31 16
6. Roxbury Crossing Bu 14 30 - 40 16
7. MJ Soccer 14 9 - 60 6
8. Buffalo Blue and Go 14 2 - 64 1

Their only blip was a 0-0 draw with Soro.

I've got my second home game - all day i dream about soccer (70695) who put a nice:
Midfield: solid (very high)
Right Defence: formidable (high)
Central Defence: excellent (very high)
Left Defence: solid (low)
Right Attack: poor (low)
Central Attack: inadequate (low)
Left Attack: weak (low)

in the latest cup match =/ I have a small chance, depending on how my league game goes on Sunday.

Nice! A home cup match sooner than what you would have expected. ;)

Well I am going for the 5-2-3 counterattack against my division III opponent.

If anyone wants to see how it goes; MatchID: 80864370

It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 50000 that came out to Fjord Field. Vikings had chosen a strategic 5-2-3 formation. The following players took the field: Figueroa - Kolen, Kaplan, Lockwood, Umarella, Nook - van der Staay, Marco - Sedstad, Henke, Chochół.

Shadows decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. Lineup: Storm - Paris, Hooker, Shelby, Gustavsson, Breen - Shwaitzer, Fagererberg, Dato - Buj, Everstrand.

Vikings clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.

Interesting game so far :D I wouldn't mind going to PKs at 0-0. I have a divine, formidable, and two solid set piece players in this game to go along with my titanic keeper, I think I could take them in the shootout. That's still 100 minutes away though. :(

Only 39k for a home cup match against a IV opponent?!? In the middle of a five-game win streak?!? WTF???

Even with my second-best IM sent off, we're up in possession at the half at 67% and on the scoreboard at 2 - 0.

I held them off for 39 minutes but then my 5-2-3 organization dropped to wretched and I conceded 2 goals before half time. :(

Gave up 76% possession and missed 1 CA chance. :(

Only boosted organization up to inadequate at half time. :(

Well my plan worked, to some extend.

I had a chance to at least draw, but my CA attacks didn't go in. :(

Vikings's counterattacks created a good chance for Peter Sedstad on the right, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar.

Vikings's defense sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack, but Vlad Kaplan's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper.

I'm down 0-2... could be tied. :/

Was knocked out in round 4 the last two years, third times a charm hopefully. At home against Meinsters from DIV (match id 80864585). I'll be throwing everything at this guy and should have a fair shot of winning, maybe 50/50

Posted that in the other friendly/cup thread..

Was down 2-0 until a goal in the 64th and a equalizer in the 82nd. He's doing a 5-3-2 CA and just missed on the 3rd CA opp.
