I've seen a lot of bahing on this board about what things our National team players in the US are doing.

Frankly, we should be realy happy that anyone would invite a soccer player to a movie opening night in NYC.

MLS and USSoccer needs people like Mathis and Donovan to become names that people recognize.

if we could get Donovan to date Brittany Spears, that would net more publicity to MLS than anything else.

Sure, Mathis' dress is a little flamboyant, but people will notice, and that is exactly what this country needs.

Donovan could = the US David Beckham

i'll date britney spears if that would help things. I'd promise to wear a bigsoccer t-shirt every day, and for fancy occassions a U.S. jersey.

85 might be a little low :( I don't think he's exactly a household name anywhere. I'm not in Southern California, but MAYBE he might be a little more known there? Buehler?, Anyone?
