Interesting, seeing as how Sheffield United have Hao Haidong on their books - Hao being one of the most-well loved footballers in China - and also are involved with a Chinese D2 side. Probably not a coincidence.

yeah, the board's very interested in its venture in China. REALLY very interested. Luckily this time around we might have someone who can contribute on the pitch.

Blades Management are denying the reports at the moment about Li Tie, but as we all know things change very quickly.

Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has begun his team-building preparations for the Blades' return to the top flight by signing Preston defender Chris Lucketti.

Warnock recruited the 34-year-old on loan before the March transfer window and the clubs have now agreed a £300,000 fee.

Cheers, GQ

Thanks CQ. So far we've Lucketti, not sure if Horse would qualify as a summer signing. I'm hoping Warnock'll go for youth as well as experience, and not concentrate so much on forwards. I don't follow the prem league much so I freely admit I don't know much about Li Tie.

Simon Francis, Alan Wright, Dominic Roma available for transfer. 7 others, inlcuding Bruce Dyer, released. I'm wondering which, if any, of the current squad will also be let go.
