For an amazing list of statistics, look at the official site:-
FEMEXFUT 1st division stats (http://www.femexfut.org.mx/portal/index.php?Opc=2&SelDiv=0&entro=1)
on the left menu hit "Divisiones", then "Primera División", then "Estadística"
OK this is in Spanish, but mostly it is fairly obvious (Tabla General, Tabla de goleo individual, etc), but any probs, drop me a line:- if you are going to follow Mexican footy, its worth picking up a few words anyway.
The most important statistic for us, of course, will be the "Tabla General de Porcentaje", ie, who is going down... if you look now, you see we are 5th, but when this season starts we will be bottom. I have made a quick spreadsheet, so you can see if you want, again drop me a line anyone who wants it (its very very simple, but works)

I'm pretty new to Pumas and Mexican soccer too (I started following them last year after they beat my DC United). I saw the "Tabla General de Porcentaje", and I was wondering what kind of shape that puts us in. I guess what I want to know is how likely is it that we can stay up? Is it possible or is a it a long shot? I don't speak Spanish, but I'm familair with a lot of soccer related words. Because of that it's hard to get the information that I'm looking form.
P.S. I apologize if this is a stupid question. I'm just having a tough time understanding everything.

Not stupid. The Mexican League, I think, just naturally assumes that most English speaking people aren't interested in Mexican footy. *fires pistolas in the air*Viva la Pumas!*/fires pistolas in the air*

True. You should see the strange looks that I get walking around in my Pumas jersey in Delaware. Mexican soccer is pretty big in the area, but Pumas isn't. The few Pumas fans that I've met have been pretty cool and will stop and talk to me. America and Morelia seem to be the most popular teams in this area (as I judge from jerseys, bumper stickers, car flags, etc.). So they're either surprised at seeing a a Pumas jersey, or a 34 year old white guy in a Pumas jersey.:D   :D

I'm in northern Delaware, but you can get to any point in Delaware within 2 hours no matter where you start from.

I get the same reaction in Philly and North Jersey! They speak to me in Spanish first, thinking I'm a light skinned Mexican, then they realize I am a white suburban gringo and they have a laugh and chat with me.

I have lived in Mexico and supported Pumas for 5 years. For game reports in English, player profiles etc, please visit my blog. You don't have to: I'm not twisting your arm or asking you to marry me. I am just starting a blog. If you could have alook and suggest things that I ould include, that'd be great. It would never replace the discussion here, I know.
Anyway, if your interestd, here is the link: http://pumas-blog.blogspot.com/
My must humble thanks.

Keep up the good work and I'll keep reading.
I just read a bunch more. That blog is outstanding. It's top notch. I've already bookmarked it. That's exactly what I am looking for. Something with some profiles, game reports, etc to read in English. Great, great work.
