Timmy has agreed to the loan at Everton. Season long loan no less, so this really is his make or break season. He's literally auditioning to be our VDS successor
Perhaps we should change the name of this thread to official outs or something?
I was going to make a new thread, but that'd be silly for each new player we sell or gets loaned out.
So far it's
Bellion - Sold
Fortune - Released
Howard - Season long loan to Everton
---
I think that list is going to swell!

That's definitely a win-win deal for Timmy and United. :)

Definitely great news!! Having watch Timmy since his Metrostars days, i wish him a great season at Everton and hope that he is up to the task of being VDS' successor.
So I guess our back up keeper will be from the reserves? Or is SAF going to get a cheap or free transfer GK to be our back up?

I pray Everton play decently in front of Howard. I also hope Howard shows what class he can be and is. I applaud Ferguson for not letting him go on a sale but rather a wait and see approach to this up coming season with Everton.

Moyes is a good coach. Make no mistake, if Tim does not perform there he wont get games. Everton will hope to contest for a Uefa Cup squad next term, so it is basically the real deal for Tim, just as it would be if he was getting the gig here. If he keeps goal for Everton all season then he'll be in very serious contention for us after that as well, I should imagine.
This is Tim's crunch time,

Ben Foster will probably our backup keeper next season unless Watford get promoted, he might stay onloan with them. But what I have heard is that he will be coming back this summer.
Good luck to Tim. I thought he had a great first season with Utd. To me it looked like Fergie dropped him back when he made that mistake in the CL aginst Porto at OT back in the 2003-2004 season. I was at that game aswel behind the nets where he palmed the ball back out to Costinha. I really liked him but he never really got a good run in the team after that.
I hope he has a top season for the Toffee's next season, if not then we should go after Shay Given as out first choice keeper when VDS leaves. I can't see him staying at Newcastle forever as I think he can do better.

Excellent move for both sides. I wonder what will happen to him if he can't cut it at Everton though. Perhaps a move back to MLS?

NO DON"T SAY THAT Please don't go back to MLS and ruin your life, Tim. MLS is trash for you!
United are probably going to sell him even if he does well at Everton. Then he's going to come back and play super-keeper against us. :(

Let's hope he doesn't get them relegated. ;)

Striker, he wouldnt get a place on most MLS teams if he came back.

But he wouldn't be a better keeper.

Are you saying he has deproved that much? Probably right for the time he has been sitting on the bench. But some of the MLS keepers are not that good and old as well (Hartman)

I'm saying, he needs to face better competition. Eventhough the MLS improves each year, since he left in 2003, he needs to stay in the Prem/Europe.

Its not him, its the fact that they are actually good goal keepers, despite the fact that they play in MLS. You might not think so, but Hartman, Cannon, even Meola, Sala are some of the few.

Oh ok, in that case I definatelly agree with you. I misread your post.
Benni: You may be right, if theres anything that America can produce in football its keepers. Regardless of what the British fans seem to think.

I think that with pressure to be MUQ off, Timmy will thrive. When he came in, I think he probably underestimated just how much pressure there would be and it didn't phase him for 6 months or so. Since then, he's been criticized and I think getting out from under that microscope will help tremendously.
