Well this year he has finally broken through the first team squad..and ended the season with a bang with 3 straight goals!
In 8 starts he has 6 goals i believe including cup starts, and im not including all the sub appearences when he came on and setup goals or made an instant impact.
Just wondering what you Bolton fans thought of Ricardo Vaz Te and if he can become a top goalscorer next season.
Cheers.

I expect to see alot more of Vaz Te this season. We've just got to stop him slipping over at crucial points however ;)

I've got him in my fantasy league team with Henry and Rooney so he'd better bang some in or else I'll, I'll......erm, sulk a bit!

You Portuguese guys. Always diving. ;) haha, anyhow Vaz Te has learned from this last season that he cannot just rely on his pace. He is quite good in the air from what I have noticed and I think he has a pretty good understand of the game, it is just a matter of him getting a regular spot to bang in some goals. He might actually pair up well with the "statue" Borghetti.

I think it's pivotal that Sam starts playing Vaz Te. One of the biggest problems at Bolton is the lack of youth. We all know that Vaz Te is quality and that he could be a future star at Bolton. We need him out on the field building his confidence up so that he wants to stay with us and help us to become a force in Europe.

It doesn't help that he's been annonymous so far this season.

I wouldn't be willing to build a team around a player who's not showing up half the time. Confidence or no confidence, he's not good enough and probably never will be to hold that kind of stature.

Still only 19....lets comment on him after the 2006-2007 season.

I dunno... The two games I've been to (Watford and Boro) he's turned it around and we've looked a better side when he came on

That was always the case. He always looked really good when he came off the bench and was used as a sub. When he started he ended up looking tired as the game wore on and became less effective.
