They revealled the winners of this seasons Ligue 1 and 2 award winners today.

Ligue 1's best young player was Franck Ribery of OM
Gregory Coupet of OL was named best keeper in Ligue 1
Claude Puel of Lille was named Manager of the Year
and the Ligue 1 team of the year looked like this:
Coupet (Lyon)
Jemmali (Bordeaux), Cris (Lyon), Yepes (PSG), Abidal (Lyon)
M.Diarra (Lyon), Juninho (Lyon), Ribery (Marseille), F.Malouda (Lyon)
Pauleta (PSG), Wiltord (Lyon)

The player of the year in Ligue 2 was Karim Ziani of Lorient.

The four candidates for player of the year are:

Florent Malouda (Lyon)

He definitely is. He could come in for a number of players since he is so versatile. Surely he will see some playing time in the WC.

my friend was at the awards - problem is, she doesn't know the first thing about football. She ended up getting stuck in the elevator with Ribery, and chilled with DIAMs when they all went to a club later on. :mad: :(
