Starting a new thread now that the league season is officially over, plus the old one was almost at 500 anyways.

I'm sure this will get interesting in a hurry.

Just sell Ruud and put me out my misery already.

First page!!!

I still want Mascherano to be the first choice player to be brought in this summer, but if RM get involved that will be very unlikely.

Well, maybe if we give them Ruud and add to the transfer that we'd have first lick at Mache, we could get him.

With that said, it will be sad to see Ruud go.

Didn't know if this was worthy of being mentioned or not, but here it is...

Eidur Wants To Be A Red
Chelsea's out- of-favour striker Eidur Gudjohnsen wants to come to United. It is understood that Gudjohnsen has held informal talks over his future at Stamford Bridge and the two parties are due to sit down again in the next fortnight. Tottenham are being linked with the striker as well but United would be his choice of future employer. Gudjohnsen is frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunity and the Reds will be monitoring the situation. 27-year-old Gudjohnsen could be prised from Chelsea for about £4m, leaving more money for Ferguson to bolster his engine room.

It is also reported Man Utd or in for Fernando Torres. That would be massive. 4 FW in Rooney,Rossi,Saha and Torres. That is a wonderful and quite young front line.

I dont want Eidur, but the Torres deal would be quite nice, but ONLY, and ONLY after we take care of the Center Mid Problem as that is first and foremost important, by quite a ways.

Forgot to add Torres say he will like to be at Athletico for the next 3yrs but says it hurts him they are underachieving. Europe might lure him away to me as he is still a top player and only 22.

Ruud van WHO? Just kidding. Nobody can replace him. But Torres would be nice.

Sad development with Ruud. On a positive front I'm sure the papers will be crawling with Carrick rumors now that Spurs are out of the CL.

Im already looking towards the future. Hopefully Fergie gets two midfielders that allow this club to play effective football.

If we get Mascherano/Diarra and Carrick then Torres and Richardson fufills his promise, then I think that despite the young age of the squad we are capable of winning all the competitions we enter.

Tottenham in the UEFA Cup. Will that be enough for Carrick? Let's hope not.

Carrick and Jones new midfielders. Torres or Kuijt new forwards. Timmy to a good team to start.

4m? Jeez... a season of being rusty from the bench really dropped his value down. That would be a steal at 4m IMO.

lads, we have to think of realistic transfer targets, here is who i think and targets for united this summer and who are not.

NOT:
Gudjohnsen
Carrick
Defoe
J.Cole

Possible:
Riquelme
Diarra
Mashenrano
Joaquin
Torres

those are all names i have seen strongly linked with united and who united have sent scouts out to watch. I think we will get 2 out of those players, 1 midfielder and a striker. RVN will not be at united next season.
