I have searched high and low. Anyone know where I can download a copy.
I am hosting a World Cup party and will have alot of 'casual/non' soccer fans there. I want to get them pumped up, so I wanted to get that song and some other soccer songs/chants/anthems...
Any suggestions or links? I can't wait for the US to step to the challenge of WC 06!!!!
Thanks.

My suggestion is to never play that song -- for it sucks long and hard.

oh man, that song kills off all of the positive chee of a goal, its just cheesy. I remember at the san francisco game against Japan, Pope scores....Im like WHOOOOOO!!!! the song starts....erm......I sit back down :p. It just makes you feel awkward more than anything.
I suggest Ole by the Bouncing Souls (you know, on the Carlsburg commercials). It makes many a drunken soccer hooligan a happy camper.

Yeah, I was at the Guatemala game this year. I didnt notice it when they played it before the game. I guess I was just too excited to be at my first international game. But by the fourth goal I had had enough.
The Ole song is much cooler. Thats what they played for my schools soccer team in the pep rally we had. We played a little 3v3 game.

I know it is kind of cheesy and alot of people don't like it, but hopefully we'll hear it alot during WC 06, meaning the US scores some goals.
I found a site with a bunch of chants/songs and have a few. I don't want to keep playing Ole Ole Ole over and over again. I have the McBride and Bocanegra chants from Fulham and Convey/Hahnemann chants from Reading (I know there are English chants, but still about our players). Looking for more of a variety. The site I combed through is www.soccerclips.net .
Thanks,
Mike

i hate that song and how should we go about telling Us soccer that it sucks and we want it removed. It's insulting to soccer fans that that is the best song we can come up with

Seriously, I thought I was at a cult convention when I heard that song. It blows. Remove it, it's hard to believe that in todays world garbage like that is played on speakers.

This is from a cached page from USSF. The link with the song is disabled. I feel sorry for the poor guy who won this contest. It's cool to hate "Goals, Goals, Goals".
If this was chanted in an English accent, some people would think it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Official Philips / U.S. Soccer Stadium Chant to Debut on October 7 at World Cup Qualifier
10/4/01 12:21 PM
CHICAGO (Thursday, October 4, 2001) - U.S. Soccer fans will come together in one voice to show their national pride and rally the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team in their important World Cup qualifier against Jamaica at Foxboro Stadium on Oct. 7. As they wave their flags and support the red, white and blue, U.S. Soccer fans will have – for the first time ever – an official chant to unite them in pride and support for their team. As part of a new American tradition, the official Philips / U.S. Soccer Stadium Chant will be debuted by the fans and revealed to the nation during the crucial qualifying match just outside Boston.
Selected from more than 1,000 entries submitted by die-hard U.S. soccer fans around the country, the long-awaited Official U.S. Stadium Chant -- “Our Legs Shall Never Tire, Our Hearts Will See Us Through, Goals! Goals! Goals! For the Red, White, and Blue” -- is the result of a national contest conducted by U.S. Soccer and Philips Electronics. The two organizations announced a long-term sponsorship agreement last June, joining forces in a mission to enhance the experience for soccer fans, as well as their goal to increase the soccer fan base in the U.S.
To hear the chant, click on the following link:
The Official Philips / U.S. Soccer Stadium Chant (http://boss.streamos.com/real/twii/ussf/audio/aud_6_236real28.smi)
The winning chant, created by fan Randall Bird from Seattle, Washington, will be set to original music by Pyramid Productions that will be heard by the players and opposing team for the first time at the October 7 match in Boston. Fans can tune into the game at 2 p.m. ET, live on ABC.
“I read the criteria for the contest, and knew it needed something that you could repeat and build-up to so that everyone could get into it,” said Bird, from his home in Snohomish, Washington, just north of Seattle. “That’s why I came up with the ‘goals, goals, goals’ part. It’s simple, but memorable, and gets stuck in your head.”
The October 7 match is a critical game for the Men’s National Team and fan support will be more important than ever as the team strives to qualify for the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™.
U.S. Soccer and Philips Electronics have been working together to initiate several consumer programs to enhance the fan experience off the field, including a new website that features a MatchTracker system, polls and chats for the first time. In addition, U.S. Soccer has launched a new monthly e-magazine for all fans of U.S. Soccer called “Center Circle.”
“Philips and U.S. Soccer wanted to create an Official U.S. Stadium Chant to help unify the fans in their pride and support for the National Team players whether they’re cheering from the stands or at home,” says Peter Verest, International Sponsorship Manager for Royal Philips Electronics. “We’re excited to see the chant become a tradition that will bring fans together and enhance the overall soccer experience now and in years to come.”

I admit it: I like the song.
I just wish they ONLY played it after a U.S. goal. (Hearing it played, what, 6-120 times during a game really dilutes its impact--if you can call it that)
I also admit that I like the US '94 jersey with the "denim" look. Beats the hell out of all the cookie cutter uniforms that have come and gone--and will continue to do so.

The song does suck. After it got to 3 nil at a US panama WCQ qualifier I was rooting for the US not to score anymore. Can someone come up with a replacement and submit it to the USSF so we can put this unmusical diddy to rest?

That song is the perfect song.
As long as you're dealing with a team of first graders in a rec league.
As a "national" song, it's more than just a bit embarassing.
Briman, as for coming up with a replacement song, how about, instead of piping in an outside song, USSF keeps microphones in the Sams Army section, and every time the US scores, they use that sounds (live).
Maybe it's just me, but when I hear that song, I picture an 80s singer with a teased mullet and a "members only" jacket.
Time to move on. Even 'Celo got rid of his mullet.

I was at the US v Jamaica match in Foxboro when it was debuted. Great match, bumped off of telly because of the Afghan air offensive, qualified US for 02, plus, Phillips gave Sam's Army members free t-shirts! Unfortunately, it has all the words to "Goals, goals, goals" on the back!

I sometimes wonder if the guys and gals at the USSF office think, "Dear lord, what will it take to please these people?" :D

Man, there were 1,000 songs that sucked more than Goal, Goal, Goal? It boggles the mind. And original music? C'mon - that's the Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel tune!

They chant "Ole, ole, ole, ole, Bobby Convey" at Reading (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaSiY8byQic). Maybe that's different?

That was awesome...never heard that before. I am surprised that Convey didn't so the interview with his pants off.

As a "national" song, it's more than just a bit embarassing.
Are there any "national" songs that aren't embarassing?
At least none of the US players made cameos.
I hate the song, but if you can hear the song after a US goal you're doing something wrong.
