One word to describe it: Offbalance

Every pass in the second half (after the PK) seemed to be out of desparation. Nobody set their feet to deliver a crisp ball. Maybe it was the altitude.

Whatever. Take one in the gut, learn from it, move on.

Erpen's ********ing shaky as hell.

When did Brian Carroll turn into a monster. MOTM for him. The rest of the team owes him and Gros an apology for sucking.

Erpen sucks at defense. Whcih is to bad, since he's a defender.

Some of the worst camera work I've ever seen for a televised soccer game. Follow the ball, not the players.

I can't complain about the penalty. The disappointments for me were DC's sloppy passing and inability to hold the ball. I was very surprised to see Colorado really begin to take it to us late. DC just mentally checked out from the penalty to the second Colorado goal.

Yet another pathetic display in Colorado.

I don't know what it is about playing in that place but they play like absolute dung each and every time.

I know their will be a lot of moaning about that PK call but it looked completely legit to me. Erpen got none of the ball and all of Kirovski. The entire shame of the play is that Kirovski would have gotten off a harmless cross but we give up a PK and the momentum of the match.

Troy Perkins goes back to his deer in the headlights look and don't be suprised if Rimando gets the call, provided he's healthy enough to play.

Anyone else notice Freddy playing peacemaker between Jaime and Alecko? It has been a long time since I've seen two United teamates go at each other in the middle of a match.

Joe Cannon owns us.

I guess we had to lose sometime.

That's our worst performance thus far this season. So little possession (Olsen's absence will be more noticeable than I even imagined)...shakiness in the back...several poor decisions in attack...giveaways. The goal was fantastic, but otherwise a hugely disappointing effort.

What's with Jaime and Alecko getting into it? Not good at all.

No shit. That was God awful all night long.

Can someone explain to me how Colorado can be such shit for offense and still win games? I mean I have seen better tactics in U-10 - get the ball past the midfield line - put it deep into the corner - and watch Cooke cross it into the middle - Rinse and repeat.

The only thing worse is the fact we couldn't figure out exactly what they were going to do and stop it.

And as I laid out in the PBP thread:

Perkins - Crap
Erpen - Pure 100% unadulterated crap

Only two players that I thought had decent games were Gros and Boswell.

Mastroeni flat-out killed us; hope he does the same in Germany.

And I still don't understand why Nowak decided to tinker with the line-up for this game. None of the moves worked out, with the possible exception that Namoff got on the field. Every aspect of this game was defective, from the coach to the forwards to the midfield to the defense. Even Perkins had an off night. At least Monday's practice will be exciting.

Yeah, I saw it. I knew we weren't leaving with any points when I saw that.

PK was absolutely the correct call, regardless of Kirovski's antics.

On a related note, I think Jovan is going to the same "health food" restaurants as Clint.

I missed this. When did it happen?

Anyone else here think Gomez was offside on the goal? He certainly was ahead of Josh Gros when the pass was made. I think we got away with one there.

By the way, Namoff looked very good tonight on both ends of the field. Not much complaint from the middle of the field.

Moreno is really struggling right now. Aside from the one or two plays that get teamates open, he gave away a half dozen other chances by simply holding onto the ball way too long. Get rid of the ball Jaime.

I didn't particularly care for the call, but you're right. It was a completely unnecesary foul.

After Eski went down the wing and blasted the cross off Cannon. Right before the corner Moreno and Eski were jawing and Moreno made a few hand gestures as in I was wide open.

It happened on the ensuing corner kick when Alecko hustled and stayed with that ball into the box and instead of centering to Moreno, he blasted right at Cannon from the endline.

As they were setting up for the corner, Alecko and Jaime were dropping F-bombs at each other with Freddy in between trying to get them back on focus.

I thought the same thing - as soon as we scored I told my wife we got away with one. I was pretty sure Gomez was a step - maybe two - offsides.

I don't think that was a penalty. I know I'll get flamed but I don't care.

Brian Hall is the absolute worst. How many times did he let the cRapids dump Bryan Namoff in the middle of the park?

Adu and Moreno had poor games. Moreno has had a string of poor games. Sit him for a game or two and play Filomeno. I can't believe he went after Esky for taking the shot. That wasn't very becoming as our captain.

It looked to me that their player was offside on the second goal. He was ahead of Erpen when the ball was played, in my view.

I really feel like we got served some home cookin' by Hall and friends.

And Namoff played a great game. I'm glad he's back.
