Here is the MLS goal of the decade (rated by internet users). Left footed golden goal volley at near full speed by no-name John Wolyniec.

Great run into the end-zone there.

Who could ever forget this wonderful volley?!

But who is that? Diego Forlan? Robbie Savage? It's definitely better than seeing Peter Crouch!

I think the celebration did merit a yellow card.

This is one of my favorite goals of all time. 1995 cup winners cup final Arsenal - Real Zaragoza. RZ's first goal scored by Andres Escobar was an awesome 30 yard left footer on the turn. Then deep into injury time, in fact I think it was the 121 st minute and a penalty shootout looming - Nayim, a former Spurs player - lobbed Seaman from waay out on the right side - perhaps about 45 yards out. The ball sailed way up into the floodlights and went in over Seaman.

Absolutely amazing goal. Check out the link, just to hear the commentators reaction.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAxR2ZvAQLc

It wasn't just the goal it was the circumstances. Last minute of cup final. underdogs vs. tournament holders - and the irony of Nayim being a former Spurts player.
This was a great goal for all the reasons you mentioned, the only mark against it is that a GK error was involved.

Do you remember the joke it prompted?

How do you know Moroccan have large ****? or
why is the pregnancy rate so high in Morocco?

... because they can lob seaman from 45 yards.

The same joke got recirculated after the Brazil-England Quarter final match in 2002.

The same joke got recirculated after the Brazil-England Quarter final match in 2002.Seaman name influenced my favourite piece of commentary:

"Now it's Alexandersson. He shoots!

SEAMAN'S ALL OVER IT!"

:o

Erm... hee hee yeah of course that's what made that such an amazing goal.... he lept out of his grave and hit that sweet volley. Actually come to think of it... maybe it was Juan Esnaider.... whatever happened to Esnaider anyhoo... sort of disapeared - guess that's why I forgot the name.

27. Maradona 1986 against England. The second goal was scored by Roberto Baggio. It was on 2 January 1994 when Udinese and Juve played. Ravanelli headed the ball into Baggio's path.

http://www.rsssf.com/tablesi/ital94.html

Goal three was scored by Gheorghe Hagi. He was playing for Galatasaray and there's a Turkish flag at the top left corner.

Goal four was scored by Alexander Mostovoi.

Goal six was scored by Signori but the year is wrong. It's not the first time that those Chinese clips get it wrong. The game was on 13 December 1992, not 1993.

http://www.rsssf.com/tablesi/ital93.html

Goal eight might have been scored by Del Piero. He did play on that side of the field around that time and he did score against Lazio in match in the 1990s. I'm not sure myself.

Goal 12 was definitely a Baggio goal. I've seen it on a few other Baggio collections.

Goal 18 was scored by Georgian player Georgi Kinkladze. He was with Man City.

Goal 21 looks like an Inter goal. I'll check it again later.

Goal 22 looks like a Napoli goal away to Inter. It looks like a Maradona goal.

.

21 It might have been. I was guessing that it was an Arsenal game becasue the player moved liked Kanu and the yellow away jersey. The stadium, I thought, was San Siro. Kanu did play for them and they did wear yellow away jersey, did they? When I look at it again, I am not 100% that he was Kanu. On top of the corner, it did say Inter as the away team.

22. He looked too tall and slim to be Maradona. May be Careca????

23. So far, no hint for this one. Canal+ was an ad on the background so it probbaly might be France, but the box score appeared to be La Liga. Marca, one of the two biggest sport paper in Spain, was also a sponsor in the stadium. Okay, I just checked Bernabéu had Canal+ ads in some old footage. The stadium was probably Bernabeu. t did look liked Bernbeau with Real Madrid playing.

I also like this one from Miccoli, he lifts the ball up to himself and volleys it home from outside the box:

Although maybe I'm a little biased, it's definitely a contender given the circumstances. ;-)

Goal 23 looks familiar. I think it's only two or three years old. It may have been Ronaldo but it's too hard too tell.

Stadium looks more like Vicente Calderon, Atletico's home ground.

#25 is by van Nistelrooy.
