I have been wondering. Not only would it be a huge dent to Arsenal if we lose Henry but I presume it would be a huge dent to English football if the greatest player to ever play in England ups and leaves. For many foreigners the first thing they think of when asked who plays in the premier league is Thierry Henry, just like if they were asked to name a club they would say Manchester United.
If Henry left the Arsenal and the English Premiership then that would take away a part of why our league is so good. I wonder if the FA fewar Henry leaving and taking away a big part of the face of the Premier League with him as I have no doubt he makes a fair amount of money, indirectly, for the top footballing authoroties in this country. He has been winning awards this year which many Arsenal fans, such as myself, don't think he should of won. I mean he should be in contention, but to win these player of the year awards is hugely debatable.
Do you guys reckon the FA are worried we will lose Henry?

I doubt they'd really be worried. They have larger issues, like why 3/4 of the Premiership is nowhere in contention by January. The disparity is bigger than ever.

I don't know about that. The race for 4th place was very interesting and competitive across what 5 or 6 teams until the last 5 games of the season. There are always going to be bad teams, the Sunderlands of the year and there is always going to the team way out infront, even if that gap closes no and again. Its like that in every single table sport in all age groups and I seriously doubt it will ever change. Last seasons relegation was one of the most intense relegation battles I've seen in awhile, why this seasons race for fourth was very intense, last game of the season intense.

I'm sure that BSkyB and Setanta will be almost as releived as Arsene Wenger if TH14 signs a new deal. He is their most recognisable and exciting product.

It IS debateable, but do u think he shouldnt have won it? He not only has the most goals, but he also has alot of assists and is somewhere up there for most assists for EPL this season. Also the fact that he has just been given the captain's armband, and have been carrying a young Arsenal to success.

I don't understand what the issue is. Sure, Henry has been carrying the club for a few years now. But surely there must be other Frenchman that can take his place. And I know Arsene doesn't want to hear this, but I bet there are even some ENGLISHMEN that are capable of filling Henry's shoes!

Wow, a race for fourth place. Are our standards so low we consider that exciting?

Perhaps the FA poisoned Spurs food as well so we get 4th place to keep Henry here

Perhaps I should have included my dissappointment that well us (Arsenal) were included in said race. I would have perfered the race for 1st but I can live with 4th for now. Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan(for awhile), Sp*rs, it was very exciting. The most exciting thing in spain is Valencia - RM. And that wouldn't exist if Valencia didn't keep fracking up.
Sorry bout double post.
