I have had to pay touts a few times over the years for tickets at Highbury but am a little nervous about the Paris tickets and would rather get them in my hands before the match.

Has any other desperate fan been in touch with the touts? Any idea what prices are being asked for? Any opinion on the availability of tickets outside the stadium?

So far, I have tried ebay and all I have found is crooks trying to get me to wire money via Western Union to Russia, Italy, Denmark.........

I am currently in Dubai and am flying straight to Paris and so meeting a tout in London is not an option. Any advice is welcome.

Cheers,
Riaz

And your connection to Arsenal America is?

And your interests, other than facilitating and/or advocating and/or endorsing and/or actively participating in an illegal activity is?

Hi. I apologize for the message coming off the wrong way.

I used to live in NY at which time I used to be a registered member of Arsenal America. I moved to Dubai 2 years ago. I believe the Arsenal America dues started after that time and therefore I am no longer technically an Arsenal America member.

As for the "illegal activity", I am not advocating or endorsing it. I am a fan that grew up in London and has been displaced for 20 years. I am simply desperately trying to find a way to watch the team I love in a hugely important match.

People on this board, Jeff, Rick etc have helped me with tickets in the past. I believe you once helped me arranging something with the travel club to watch the FA Cup semi-final at Old Trafford a few years ago, though I could be mistaken. Unfortunately as I am not a paid subscriber of Arsenal America, I am not able(rightly so) to be on the list of "last minute tickets." I therefore made a post pertaining to the only realistic way I would be able to watch the match in Paris. I assumed that various other true fans, including even season ticket holders would be in a similar situation and therefore put out the question.

I hate touts. Like everyone else, I think the way UEFA has allocated tickets is terrible. However, I do not think I have any other way to get to the game than to solicit the help of such people.

Once again my apologies to anyone for any offence caused.

I hope that clears things up.

Frank,

I know Riaz well, so no worries with him putting this. I am the first as everyone knows to try and put people off buying from touts. However on this match only I completly understand using them. This is a special one off game and I know how much people want to be in the stadium.

I have just been down to the ground. A tout there was asking £2700 for a pair. On Ebay they are a little cheaper, but as Riaz said please beware of people saying they want payment by Western Union. ONLY pay by Paypal. At the end of the day I will be in Paris and have my tickets on me. Therefore my honest suggestion is to wait until people are in Paris and speak to touts face to face. That way you know what an official ticket looks like rather than buying a fake.

With regards to any froim the club direct - obviously I will try for everyone I know. If I get enough for my list, Riaz is the first on reserve.

I overstepped. Please accept my apologies.

As to the kinder, gentler Mississippi, well I suspect we're hospitable when we want to be and when we're not, well, we're downright rebellious.

Anyway, my bad.

We need a war on touts. However in this case, they have us. Listen, we have waited a long time for this and I can't fault a true fan from trying everyway possible to get a ticket. Right now many tickets are in the hands of touts, opportunists, and worse. UEFA is a disaster, nut that should be no surprise.

UEFA issues a SHEDLOAD of tickets to people who dont want them, they end up in the hands of touts. Big Shock!
