Since BBC Sport has one in their retrospect of Highbury (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/a/arsenal/4862840.stm). I thought it would be best to have one on here.
For my choice, Norman Hubbard's description (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=365874&root=england&cc=5901)in his article at Soccernet.com describes this man best:
He has long been called an artist, but Arsene Wenger prefers to brand him a scientist; look at the cool analysis of the situation, the perfect calculation of the angle and weight of the precise pass to bisect a defence. If he paints a picture, in other words, it is for a purpose, though he has illuminated the game in the process.
That fantastic illustration refers to #10 Dennis Bergkamp.

A hair-splitting (and I really mean hair-splitting) second in my book. Could easily be Henry.

I dont know if i am even qualified to post on this topic because im a fan of Arsenal for only about 3-4 years now. I havent wached all of the games with the 'greats' in the past but it just seems so hard to say who can beat Henry.

One man changed the way the world looked at Arsenal in the modern era. Without Bergkamp IMO there is no Wenger, Vieira, Henry, Campbell, Pires, etc. Getting an established star like Bergkamp changed the way Arsenal did everything on the pitch and off.

Depends if you think Wenger actually signed Bergkamp. ;)
Best highbury player is difficult, in my time watching; Rocky, Wrighty and Thierry Henry. Specifically henry who has made highbury his stage in the time he's been there.

????
The Dutch forward DENNIS BERGKAMP signed a four-year contract with the London team Arsenal yesterday in a $12 million transfer from Internazionale of Milan. Details of the four-year deal weren't announced, but newspapers have reported that Bergkamp will be paid $40,000 a week.
Bergkamp, 26, is the club's first major signing under Coach BRUCE RIOCH, hired this month to reverse the team's disappointing Premier League record over the last two years. Bergkamp's first game for Arsenal will be an exhibition match against Inter in London on Aug. 10.

Wenger joined after Bergkamp. That signing was one of the first indications that Arsenal were serious about being a top international club.

Dennis is god. Changed us from boring boring to glory glory. made us win the double in 98. Got top 3 goals of the month that season in the same month (if you haven't seen those goals, make up for it asap). Gave Ian Wright a prem medal finally. Henry arrived when Arsenal were already at the top, thanks to number 10. He will be missed.

:D nice one
instinctively its hard to see any player other than Thierry come to mind when that question is asked. However if you really think about it I think Dennis would really be the one to deserve that title (but only just) . As the others have mentioned his contribution to the way the team plays our game and to English football is an absolute blessing. Wenger has mentioned this before countless times but i think Dennis' lifestyle off the pitch is really important as well. He is really an excellent role model for they younger lads.
