Revolution interim coach Steve Nicol played a hunch last night and went with Adin Brown in goal.

The decision paid off handsomely as the Revolution earned just their fourth shutout of the season, blanking D.C. United, 1-0, before 24,240 at RFK Stadium.

I don't think Sommer would have gotten a shutout but it seems to me that Gus thinks that Adin shouldn't be in goal and that Sommer should. Its only obvious that you put in a new keeper after your current keeper lets up 7 goals in 2 games. Am I right?

To me it does not seem that Martins would rather have Sommer in goal.. Brown had been plagued with an ankle injury the last 2 games and probably could have played last wednesday, if he had played i strongly believe the Revs would have beaten the rapids. He has been good in the net for the Revs with a 4-4 record and the team seems to be much more confident when he is in goal. He had a great game last night... Without Llamosa last night it would have been real scary for the Revs. Hopefully we can find two players to fit the role of Heaps and Franchino next game who will be sitting because of caution points.
