US Soccer Tickets Arrived!

I received my US Soccer tickets today...and to my surprise, names WERE NOT printed on most of the tickets. Instead, there is a series of numbers on my tickets after the words US Soccer Federation. The numbers (they are not passport numbers or any other logical sequence of numbers) correspond to a specific person's identify, and you need to refer to the "packing list" in the mailing to match up the sequence of numbers with individual people.

An insert that came with the ticket said that "tickets may be scanned upon entrance to the stadium at which time ticket holder information will be subject to verification".

I could swear that I had read at one point that personal information would NOT be on the microchips.

Presumably there is a number on the microchip - which can then be checked against a database elsewhere.

Interesting. I got 4 tix to each of the US group matches from USSF, and names were printed on all 12 tickets. Each name is listed below where it says US Soccer Federation. Were you awarded tickets in the first round? Perhaps those issued in the later allotment don't have names?

Did anyone order tickets from USSF for games outside the group stage should we make it? Was a voucher or anything sent for this or do we just go to the stadium with our passports should the USA get out of the group?

gf hasnt received hers yet but I vaguely remember them saying they'd (USSF) set up a station for you to get them once they advanced...could be wrong tho

I received round of 16 vouchers - one for each individual ticket holder, and the instructions said that the US would set up a kiosk at the stadium...

I got two tickets for the Italy and Ghana matches , got an email from USSF saying that they are sending them soon . Cant wait !

I received an email from US Soccer in the middle of April notifying me that I will be issued 2 tickets to the USA vs Czech match. I got an email today of the UPS tracking of my order. It states that my tickets will be arriving on 5/10/06. I'm tempted to call in sick so I could sign for the package myself and have the tickets in my hot little hands.

I've been excited since that day in April!! Is it June yet??? :D

i'm on the USSF priority waiting list after not being allocated tix from the december application.

i'm hoping to get something from the lot of new tix they got from FIFA. however, apart from an email in received in march stating the above, i've heard nothing from them.

i've lost all hope.

Whoo Hooo! Our tickets for the 1st 3 games and Vouchers for the remaining games arrived today! We're SO excited! See you all in Germany! We'll be the fans wearing Earthquake Jerseys!

We got our package from US Soccer on Wednesday (with NO prior email notification saying it was coming). Pleasant surprise, so no complaints here. However, I paid for Cat. 2 tickets to all 3 US matches & the US/Italy tickets are Cat. 3. The price difference really isn't the issue, it's the whole matter of waiting for over a year to final get awarded tickets, then feeling like I've been taken advantage of.

Our names were not printed on the tickets either. It almost seems like the USSF was given a whole block of tickets all in the same area, no specific "categories". I'm actually excited because I was hoping to be in the US section, but it's the whole process that pisses me off.

Also, didn't people that got their tickets from FIFA get a whole package with German maps & rail info & stuff? We got our tickets, packing list & two brochures advertising even more merchandise for us to spend our money on.

Go ahead, you can start throwing stones........I should just be lucky I'm going. I think anybody that's shelled out over $12K already for this trip would be a little cranky too.

Same for my 4 tickets that I received.
