America is a better team than Olimpia which is why the Sao Caetano loss was a super huge failure! I think that people were too lineant on America for that huge failure especially after Lapuente called Mexico a failure in Japan/Korea.

I did not know that winning the MFL league meant so many points but then again Teams like Pachuca and Toluca that have been more consistant tham Club America are not there ?! Now what did Club America win to get so high in the rankings "The Giamts Cup" ? :D
I wonder how much Azcarraga pays for this publicity :p

Whoaaa.. Pachuca has not been real consistant. They keep sinking further and further. Granted, their team has been dismantled and injuries have also played a part... but they have not been more consistant than America. I do think they will overcome thier recent troubles though.
America has gotten points from the Mexican, League, Giants Cup, Concacaf Cup, and Copa Libertadores.
Toluca has been good since the mid to late 90s..prior to that they were always an up and down type of team. They have not done anything at the international level. Hopefully, they can change that.
Are we jealous that Acarraga can pay that type of money and Cardenas cant? Ohh how you cream in your pants for Vergara :d

Excuses? Where?
Everything I posted is a fact.
Could you please provide me with some facts to show me otherwise? Are you trying to tell me that Toluca is a traditional powerhouse? Dont forget, Toluca is my neck of the woods as well. The short seasons have worked to thier advantage. Give them a decade longer... same with Morelia... Morelia has been good the past 3-5 years... give them more time. The recent success of Pachuca, Morelia, and Toluca is that they have owners that inject large sums of cash into each institution and most importantly, thier owners have run for high end offices.
America not only has been the most consistant team the past decade, they also have performed well in the Copa Libertadores..They have advanced all three times they have participated..
If you dont like these rankings... then dont look at them? Dont worry... Chivas is in the top 20.....................
Top 20 in Mexico that is... and not the owrld...
HAHAHAHAHAAHAH :D
Are you saying your hail marys hoping Vergara buys the team?
Do you want me to light a candle to keep Cardenas or to get rid of him
Here.. say along with me...
Hail Chiviera,
full of disgrace...

They are all over your post. You are trying to hard to convince yourself that America belongs up there in the IHF rankings..
America not only has been the most consistant team the past decade, they also have performed well in the Copa Libertadores..
Does most consistant mean not winning a Championship for 13 years if so lets hope they continue with their consistantcy.
America has gotten points from the Mexican, League, Giants Cup, Concacaf Cup, and Copa Libertadores.
I would assume that the TOP 10 list would have teams that actually win Championships. Now America did win the MFL liguilla but Pachuca has won it twice as has Toluca in the last four years. Then we have the TFC Champions Cup, i dont recall America winning this, Hummm isnt Pachuca the current Champ. Now you have Copa Libertadores so you win a few games, so what. Last i checked Olympia was the Champion. Now lets look at a Club like Boca Jrs, they actually won that Cup twice and an InterContinetal Cup to top it off oh yeah threy also won their league a couple of times, but i guess that Americas Giants Cups victory, MFL Liguilla and beign eliminated in the semifinals of CL is more impressive..

really? I have posted facts, not opinions. Thats rankings are the only thing that is subjective in that post.
But we all know you are one to discredit America :D

They have reached the semifinals more than any other team that past 13 years...
The Buffalo Bills never won a SuperBowl, but the fact that they were able to stay at a high level for such a long time indicates thier greatness and a place in history. Every rival knew that they were in for a tough one.

I think you are being too generous to Pachuca and Toluca. Outside Mexico, not too many people know Toluca. They have yet to dent the international scene much less make thier presence b known.
Then we have the TFC Champions Cup, i dont recall America winning this, Hummm isnt Pachuca the current Champ.
Well, according to the federation, the Giants Cup was suppose to be the mother of all mothers. And that trpohy does sit in out trophy case in Coapa. I would put my spare change in that cup since it means nothing though.
Now you have Copa Libertadores so you win a few games, so what.
HAHAH so what? You say it like you are irritated. HAHA
If that was River or Chivas... i would expect you to go on and on about it.
But even with America beating River in thier house... you still take away merit from America.

VS..
something you need to realise..... Times do a change.
Maybe this is just me since i dont have any facts, but would I be wrong to think that the Copa Libertadores is set up so that South American clubs can win it?
I could make a couple strong cases to think that.. but then again... thats all speculation...
I will leave it at that.

The World Club Ranking was started monthly since January 1st, 1991 and the information is globally distributed early in the following month. This ranking takes into consideration the results of twelve months of continental and intercontinental competitions, national league matches (including play-offs) and the national cup. In those countries having several national cup competitions, only the one organised by the national federation is included. Since the cup competition systems are diverse at the preliminary stage level, we assign only the points won in eight-finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final. The points are assigned based upon a rating system of the level of performance of each national league. In the case of matches decided by penalty-kicks, each team receives half of the points in contention.
All national leagues are rated at four levels based upon performance. In this grouping, each country (where the club plays) is assigned a number indicating the performance level of each national league. Clubs in the highest level leagues receive 4 points for each match won, 2 for a draw and 0 for a defeat. Level 2 is assigned 3 pts. (win), 1.5 (draw) and 0 (lost), and so on with the next lower levels. The same system applies for the play-off matches.
In the continental competitions, all clubs receive the same number of points at all stages regardless of the performance level of their leagues. In the case of draws each team receives 50% of the points in dispute and 0 points for a lost match. The points are distributed equally to teams in matches decided by penalty-kicks. All Asia, Africa and CONCACAF continental competitions have the same point-assignment system: 8 points for a win, 4 for a draw; in the preliminary tournament phases for The Caribbean and Oceania zones, only 4 and 2 points are assigned for win and draw. In the South American competitions the clubs receive 12 points for a win, 6 for a draw; and in the European 14 and 7 points, respectively. Competitions between two continents are evaluated depending upon their importance. In the FIFA World Club Cup, the awarding system for wins and draws is determined by averaging the number of points assigned for wins and draws in each of the other continental competitions.
Those competitions not organized by a continental confederation, or any intercontinental events not recognized by FIFA, are not taken into consideration for the World Club Ranking. Any competition cancelled before completion alters the point system. In order to equalise the chances of South American and European clubs we do not consider the result of previous matches already played in said tournament.
The World Club Ranking is a precise classification showing the real level of the clubs free of any subjective influence. It is the result of a profound analysis that allows us to fairly report the level of international performance for each country.
As you see Various doing well in the South American competaions count more. Also since they only go back 12 months Bocas wins don't count anymore.

The Fracasosote thing is right because that is what Lapuente said of Mexico after losing to the US. Then they end up choking even worse than they did. It was great that Mexican newspaper printed Fracasosote as the headline after that.
There is no way that Olimpia and Sao Caetano were better than America. Unlike the two past competitions were Boca did look better, these teams were inferior and still America choked and it was a fracasosote! It may have been the missed opportunity for the MFL to win the libertadores.
