View Full Version : Selling 1 Final ticket, face value

Gunners: I was fortunate enough to score two tickets to the final from UEFA, but not lucky enough to have a friend willing to fly from NYC to Paris for a day and a half. Go figure.
Obviously, I could sell my other ticket for a fortune on eBay or whatever, but I'm not a tout and, frankly, would rather not have to sit next to someone who I just charged $1,000.
So...I have one ticket to the final, cat III, whatever that means, which I'd like to sell for face value ($150 including all of the surcharges, etc.). My only condition is that, while not a Gunners fan per se, I'd really like to experience the atmosphere of the event. I only ask that whoever wants the ticket will be connected enough to Arsenal supporters to know what's going on, drag me along for the pre-match drinking/train ride to the ground, buy me a drink or six, not make fun of me for supporting Metro Red Bull, and be able to tolerate my unbridled enthusiasm if Ronaldinho were to do something, well, Ronaldinho-esque during the final.
Please pm if interested, and appreciate that I expect to get, ahem, more than one response and may have to do the old eeny-meeny-miney-mo to pick someone.
Best,
Jeremy

Just be careful you don't end up inadvertantly selling to a tout who is about to make about £900 at your expense!

Or just answer my PM as I have a plane ticket and hotel but no ticket to the match! I am hoping for a miracle and I hope that this may be it! :D

How very refreshing to read this post. To be on the safe side I'd run the name of the lucker buyer past Rick first. Hope you have a great time in Paris!

Arsenalgirl, yep me and my mate got mine through our seasons and away European credits. My mate's two sons weren't so lucky but are of course travelling out anyway. We'll buy off touts for them if necessary. I've got a few feelers out elsewhere too, corporate contacts blah blah. In the unlikey event that I get any over what I need, they will appear here, face value.

I have plane ticket and a hotel but no match ticket (I am also a Red Bull fan!!) I will PM you to see what's going on - whatever happens or whoever gets the ticket should take care of you in Paris - well done for charging only face value when you could have made a fortune!!
Up the gooners!!

Good gesture Lester.
I don't know anyone on this board, but they seem friendly so I'm sure that whoever you chose will take care of you.
Just some points about the final for anyone who is going:
St. Dennis is not the nicest of places, so avoid wandering off on your own and try not to be tempted to take out mobiles, cameras etc. unless you are in a large group of people.
Be especially careful around metro stations; many pickpockets and worse.
Try to avoid getting into trouble with the local police, if at all possible don't even ask them for assistance; if the riot police are out, you'll be in serious trouble. They are of the crack skull first, ask questions later variety.
Don't get into any arguments/bother with the locals, many of them are knife-wielding lunatics and won't hesitate to stab you.
That list is really awful. :o
Other then that, have a great time and cheer on the boys to a 3-0 victory.
Oh yeah, pints are quite expensive near the stadium; anything up to 12-15 euros (burns a hole in your pocket very quickly).

I nominate Stephanie here. She's a true Gooner that deserves to be among the supporters in Paris.

I'm not biased in anyway <cough>Steph</cough>, but I would appreciate that whomever is selected, if they would please let me and Rick B know, so we can take your name out of the hat should Arsenal America get any tickets.

I'm going to Paris as well guys. My hands are tied in the ArsenalAmerica ticket draw and potential touts.
But whoever gets this ticket, enjoy and I'll see you in Paris.
Lester, you are a gentleman for offering this up.
COME ON ARSENAL!!!!!
