Suppose Arsenal finish sixth and lose to Barca, then Boro win UEFA cup. Does it mean Arsenal will play no European games next season. Just a question now, don't start farting fire sparks!!!

i'm pretty certain that 6th is guaranteed a UEFA cup spot at this point. the whole thing about holders who haven't qualified via their league displacing a domestic position applies only to the champions' league, and not the UEFA cup.

the technicalities are somewhere on the spurs board, as it was discussed a few weeks back. i'd tell you what thread, but i honestly can't remember.

No 6th is gauranteed UEFA spot. Unlike the CL, if Boro win the cup it will not take away a spot.

Yawn.

Just suppose that Mourinho gets fed up with getting no respect for leading Chelsea to a title and leaves, and just suppose that Abramovich realises he was his only chance of winning the CL and leaves too, and Chelsea have to cut their financial losses and sell Drogba to a team that matches his level of skill, would you keep supporting Chelsea or would you follow his new team... Sunderland. Just a question now.....

Suppose you one day met any of the members of the board and they broke your fingers and you were no longer able to post inane drivel all day long. Which team would you support then?

and UEFA can add them like they added liverpool, if they so wish. but they're not going to bump a side that's already qualified by the established standards.

My question is why does Mourinho feel like he deserves respect. If there is one manager that I respect this season it's Jewell. He's done unbelievably well with far more limited resources than Mourinho's arrogant-ass self.

Keep up on your news.

If boro wins the UEFA cup they'll automatically receive a berth in next years competition. As has been said before, this will not bump any other england UEFA cup spot and will be an additional spot like Liverpool in the CL this year.
