Historical winners ...
2003 Jose Cancela, Revs 35
Cancela is just off this year's leaderboard with no goals from nine shots...for his career he is 3 for 105.
According to Soccernet's data (no penalty kick numbers, so this is the most shots without any goals at all), Manchester City's Kiki Musampa was this year's Premiership champion with 46 shots. Espanyol's Ivan de la Pena leads La Liga eith 51 shots and one round remaining.

I think it's come up here before, but in 2003/04, Jay Jay Okocha took 110 shots in the Premiership without scoring (he did score three in the Carling Cup, though).

If there's a lesson here, maybe it's that shooting freely doesn't necessarily hurt your team's offensive output. (In this respect, soccer would be very different from basketball.) After all, Cooke is presently #1 in MLS with 6 assists, and Davis and Adu aren't far behind with 4. Similarly, Ante Razov is on pace to lead the league in shots attempted, but he's still managed 5 assists.
