Personally I wouldn't mind seeing it, he would be a good replacement if Stan decides he wants to move on.

That would be a big signing for sure. Take Pressley while you're at it.

Pressely is a git and wishes he could be doned in the hoops but then again we are bringing in Caldwell who has looked abysmal since signing with Celtic.

Considering Hearts have clinched the CL spot and will be looking to build on that, I personally think he is out of your league. Romanov will not let him leave on the cheap.

Hartley is not good enough to wear the hoops...Who makes up this crap?

I can't believe I'm typing this, but Teso is right. LOL. Hearts want to build on the potential European money coming in next season, not ship out 1 of their best players.

He's the best midfielder in the SPL and would walk into the Celtic team ;)

But he won't be leaving Hearts.

Can you back that statement up with anything resembling a decent argument?

But Caldwell and Riordan are? Put down your pipe. I would take Hartley over either of them and well as Miller. Why Vlad the mad would make it next to impossiable for him to go why wouldn't Hartley want to play for a side that actually has stability?

Lol:rolleyes: , Hartley is the best Scottish midfielder in the game he is second to Petrov who is the best midfielder in the SPL. He would be a good replacement for Keano or Lenny after next season otherwise he would have to get use to riding the pine as I don't think anyone in the midfield is just going to roll over.

I think linking us with Graveson and Dinelson was out there more than Hartley.

Judging by performances Hartley has been better than Petrov in the last 2 seasons.

Edit to say that Hartley wouldn't be in the team in front of Petrov though. Petrov will improve beyond Hartley when he leaves the SPL.

I'm glad someone else is scratching their head over the Caldwell signing.

I've always thought that Caldwell is pish but I must admit I was impressed with his performances in the far east...

I didn't get to watch them, being in the US at the time, but I'll be happy to accept that I've misjudged him if he comes good. We need all the good players we can get :)

Caldwell has seemed to me to be capable of pretty good play, but also capable of being a complete pile. His crying about "abuse" after his pre-contract agreement signing.

Yeah he is now whining about the same thing for Riordan. If he thinks Celtic are going to pay for someone they are getting on a bosman he is on crack. I think Caldwell will do well domestically but in Europe they will eat him up.
