This years playoffs have been pretty good so far, most of the time I'm usually not really interested in basketball if the Rockets aren't playing but there's been some entertaining games so far.

The Bulls/Heat games have been pretty intense and the end of the last Suns/Lakers game was great even though the Lakers won. And watching Arenas and Lebron lead their teams has been great.

And a couple of former Rockets have led the Clippers to the second round for the first time in 30 years setting up a possible LA showdown in the second round. I would love to see Sam I Am and Mobley lead the Clippers past the Lakers.

It would be perfect if the Rockets were involved.

I just can't get into basketball like I once was. I'll keep up with how good/bad the Rockets are, but the NBA is too thuggish these days for my liking. Playing bball is fun though.

I'll start a thread on the NHL playoffs but only if Calgary wins tomorrow night. :D

LOL, I grew up near the Great Western Forum in L.A. so yep...I'm a huge Laker fan! so I'm pretty excited because it looks like it's going to be David Stern's wet dream for the Western Conference!

L.A Clippers Vs L.A. Lakers!
&
Dallas Maverics Vs. San Antonio Spurs!

I would love to see Chi-town overcome Miami! but it's been known that everyone wants a Dwayne Wade Vs. Lebron rivalry

The way teams are playing right now

Dallas Mavericks Vs. Detroit Pistons in the Finals

I grew up here, but was a huge fan of Jerry West, so was a semi-Lakers fan, and of course the Rockets were dreadful their first few yrs here in the 70's. Was living out in Calif. during the 80's and the Showtime Lakers - had a good friend in law school in Berkeley who was Mr. Celtic Fan, you can imagine the sort of arguments we'd get into.

Just because I like to do whatever thing will piss the most people off, was rooting for my hometown Rockets during the '86 Western Conference finals decided on Sampson's flip-in at the buzzer, was just graduating from UCLA then. Now that I'm back in Houston, of course will root for the Lakers at Rockets games.

I still think my favorite Laker moment ever was winning the '85 championship in that effing hellhole Boston Garden and shutting up those Celtic fans.

All this to lead up to last wk, and screaming at the TV at the end of game 6, when ONE STUPID DEFENSIVE REBOUND would have clinched that series against the Suns (tying 3 at the end of regulation was off an offensive rebound). Knew that this Laker team would get blown out on the road in a game 7.

Ah well, I don't mind SA that much, I will probably be among the 17 Americans who will watch a Spurs-Pistons rematch...
