Having beaten WBA, it appears that we have picked up injuries to some key players.

Etherington from reports was a pre-cautionary withdrawal and will no doubt play.

Ashton seems to be the main concern although they are saying a 'twinge' rather than a 'pull' to the hamstring.

Of the 2, I have to say that I am least concerned about Ashton missing from the team. He has been a fantastic buy for us and no doubt will prove to be a great player but of recent times he has not in great touch. Zamora has been waiting in the wings and will no doubt relish the chance to regain his place next to Harewood. Let's not forget that Harewood and Zamora were the partnership prior to January and their performances were excellent. Also Bobby Z has played quite well in the past 2 games.

I think Dailly playing yesterday was an indicator as well as Fletcher who from all reports played well.

I think AP will take this team into the final

Hislop
Ferdinand Collins Gabbidon Konchesky
Yossi Fletcher Reo-Coker Etherington
Harewood Zamora/Ashton

Subs: Walker, Dailly, Zamora/Ashton, Sheringham, Newton/Scaloni

Any thoughts anyone?

I think come the final Trevor, the few niggling injuries of certain players will miraculously disappear! your team selection looks good, although if I were AP, I wouldn't even consider Scaloni, total waste of space imho, anyrate, lets hope we finish on 55 points come the weekend.;)

Sunday's game has draw written all over it. I can't see us putting out too much of an effort. Human nature I'm afraid. All I hope is that Mini-Judas does not play/score.

I think you are spot on here. Spuds will see it as their cup final. For us it will be a bit of a nuisance game where no player wants to get injured.
Hopefully Bobby Z will get a couple and Elliot Ward will keep Defoe in his pocket.

Just saw this...

"Matthew Etherington is a major doubt for West Ham's FA Cup final against Liverpool, while Alan Pardew is ready to gamble on Dean Ashton."

Matty picked up a knock in training today and has been taken in for x-rays.
