I think I started to play this game but I am hooked on Championship Manager so I stopped.

I'm hooked on championship manager as well.
God, I think I played it for 12 hours yesterday!

Oh my god. ChampMan rocks! I've been playing since the 99/00 season and have been wondering if there were other people around here with my addiction.
Does everyone play the Wizards, or do you try other leagues?
Updates are usually found at sigames.com or thedugout.net but they have been strangely silent lately.
I recommend downloading the media database update. That way when Preki get pissed instead of "media reports say..." you get "According to the Kansas City Star..." Very cool!

Championship Manager is a soccer management PC game that is hugely popular overseas. Ever wondered what it was like managing Arsenal, KC Wizards or some lower division side in Italy? This game is where it happens! As far as I know, the only way to buy it is over the internet from some UK based store.
It is published by a company called Sports Interactive (SI.) I think they sell the game or link to sites that sell the game at www.sigames.com.
Buy the game at your own risk. It is HIGHLY addictive and has been known to be a leading contributor of increased sick days at work, missing classes, and even some cases of divorce. Basically, the best game ever written for the computer.

I have yet to play with the Wiz. I have been playing since 99/00 version came out. I am always the Halifax Town of the English 3rd Div in 01/02. (conference side in real life after relegation :( ) The farthest I have gotten with them is being premoted to Div 1 and going into Europe since I beat Derby in the league Cup. :D Then something happened to my CPU and I had to whipe my hard drive. POS!
Now that I think about it I did play the Wiz in 99/00. Didn't do very well though.
If anyone needs help with some money players let me know I will share my knowledge. And if you have any gems please share. I am cash strapped at Halifax right now and I am always looking for free tranfers.

I played the 99/00 version cause I found a hacked version out there somewhere, but I haven't actually bought the game yet.

Before I bought my CM o1/02 I downloaded it off Zazaa but it never had sound. That is why I was asking. It would never go to the "on" option

Where did you buy your copy?
The only place I've looked for it is Amazon UK, but I didn't feel like paying the extra shipping costs.
