Lets nip this 6 weeks of talk about Rooney in the bud,he's gone,even if he does heal in time, which is unlikley,he will be nowhere near match fit,sven needs to get a replacement,and not even name Rooney in the side,trouble is i dont think hes got the town halls

He may come back during the WC even not match fit, and make an important contribution.. Not an exact comparison, of course, but US captain Reyna was injured and was recovering before WC 2002 and wasn't ready for the first match but came back and ended up in the FIFA Best Eleven of the WC..
