FIFA says:

"You may not exceed the permitted overall totals (four match tickets in price categories 1, 2 or 3 for up to seven matches or two match tickets in price category 4 for up to three matches)"

Does this mean both the 7 Cat1/2/3 tickets AND the 3 Cat4 matches or either 7 or 3?

I now have 6 lots of CAT1/2/3 and it's just let me buy some Cat4s which leads me to believe you can have both. If not then why should the Cat4 people be restricted to 2x3 matches= 6 tickets whereas the rich b*****ds who can afford 1/2/3 can have 7x4 = 28?

Anyone know what the definitve answer is?

Many thanks

For normal tickets is either Cat. 1/2/3 or 4, but rules for resale tickets are more relaxed, and so you don't have those limitations.

Out of the 7 games that each person is allowed, 3 can be category 4 tickets.

But aren't you going to about 20 games anyway?

Thanks for the response. I wondered why it let me combine the two. When you say "more relaxed" is it defined anywhere what the position is regarding resales or have they just not enforced the previous rules where resales were involved?

When you press the [R] and get a list of packages, the blurb includes:

How many Resale tickets am I allowed to purchase?

The same applies for the purchase of Resale tickets as for regular ticket sales with a maximum quantity of seven tickets per person. A maximum of three of the seven tickets may be purchased from category 4 or category 4 obstructed views. It is not possible to order t ickets for several matches which take place on the same day. Allocated tickets from earlier orders will also be taken into account here.

Where it says "The same applies for the purchase of Resale tickets as for regular ticket sales", naturally what it means is that it's actually not the same at all.

Thanks to everyone for their help in unravelling the mysteries of FIFA's drafting of the rules.
