So I'm walking through the central market in Florence (Italy) yesterday while on vacation and what USMNT knockoff replica jersey do I see hanging among the likes of Raul, Beckham, Davids, Owen, Figo, Maldini, Vieri, Batistuta, etc.........

None other than John O'Brien's #5. Saw them going for 8-10 euros. Anyone else seen a named/numbered US Nat jersey (real or knockoff) outside of the US? Maybe Reyna recently or Lalas back when he played in Serie A after WC '94?

8-10 Euros? Aren't they about 1 to 1 with the dollar. Snatch some of those up for me in XL please.

there were boxloads of knockoff USMNT kit in Korea... about $10 worth of Won (12,000), but could get them for 8... pretty good likeness right down to the patch (which looks like the real thing even up close)... I got a Donovan for my kid since they had Mathis' number wrong;-)

Where'd you find those? I've seen some here, but they've all looked like crap.

go on eBay. I got one for $20 or something a while ago and it still looks pretty freakin good.

Let's not start this thread again. Better hope Grabow doesn't see this post (although I completely agree with Colin on this one).

Sorry bmurphyfl & Grabow, but I'm heading to E-bay. I want to wear the US colors. You can't go wrong with $20. Go USA....

A friend of mine got me a Turkey jersey on the streets of Istanbul a few years back, it was the crappiest "fake" jersey I've ever seen. After that, I decided I was always getting the genuine article.

Hey, you've got to somehow pass the time between when the museums close (Uffizi was great) and when it's time to eat dinner/go to a bar. :)

Just a follow up on seeing the O'Brien #5 knockoff, while in Venice yesterday, I saw a #20 Donovan jersey. I would have thought it would have been easy to distinguish him from McBride, but I guess not. Of all the jersey selling stands I saw in Italy, I would say that that the O'Brien knockoff is available at 1 in 8 or 10 of them, while I only saw the Donovan in one location.

Now, let's see what's around Paris....

Isnt the fact that there are still U.S jerseys two months after the Worldo Cup a sign that the U.S has NOT arrived, which brings me to my next Question. If the USMNT arrives and no one is there to witness it does it make a sound ? http://digilander.libero.it/doniuccia/faccine/Biggrin/biggrinking.gif

I spotted US gear (jersey, cap, shorts, etc.) hanging with those from a bunch of other nations at a small soccer store in Portela Airport in Lisbon.

No, it means they didn't have to stock any Mexican jerseys.

It all has to do with Supply and demand.
