the string of big games continues with Shandong and Shenhua facing each other in Jinan. Hehe, I'll allow greenlion to offer all the histories...I'm not sure now if greenlion used the label of "china derby" for the beijing vs. shandong game, but to me, the only real "china derby" is the Beijing vs. Shenhua game and, maybe, both those teams vs. Dalian. To me, these other games are intense rivalries, but don't deserve a label like China derby as there isn't the same degree of animosity or history involved in them.
Anyways, it's going to be an exciting Sunday night in Jinan!

gao lin will be the pb i think for shandong, he is in good form, an hat trick against Dong tam, but Shandong is not a vietnamese team:D . that will be an interresting game with more that a draw this time, coz last two suposed big games (guo'an-luneng, shenhua-guo'an) finish by nil nil and was frustrating to watch this kind of match.

Shandong's offense is too powerful and will do in Shanghai with ease, especially considering Shanghai has no offense, probably a 2-0, 3-1 sort of game...

Shandong plays at home~ I think 4-0 or 5-1 are reasonable results

Me thinsk a 4 goal gap is a BIT big ney greenlion? :p Shenhua can win it, a solid back line and a goal on the counter is the way to go!

there will be a semi-final game of world cup in July 5, so I don't think these shandong or shenhua players will show up for the match. haha

yeah, either athena was joking or he was reading it the European way where the month is in the middle...I'm not sure now, but I believe I followed greenlion's style for the other specific game threads...
Perhaps it will surprise some, but I'm actually (silently) hoping for Shenhua to win (perhaps I'll even have to break out the jersey) as it will help to bring Shandong from jumping ahead (well, I guess a tie is the best result in my mind, but I want some excitement!). Shenhua's defense on paper is very strong, but in reality hasn't melded together properly yet and Shandong has such a powerful offense that I see this either being a big win (as I said, Shandong taking it by 2 goals) or a very boring 0-0, 1-1 sort of tie. I doubt the midweek game will have much impact on Shenhua as it was basically like a scrimmage (those viet teams are crap), but perhaps Gao Lin's solid performance is enough to give him confidence and we'll finally see him step it up.
