I hardly know anything but the result. Saarbrücken won 2-1 in their season opener. The south division of the RL hardly knows a favourite this season, but if you got to name one, then it probably is Saarbrücken. All I know about Phillips and Matarazzo is that first one was expected on the bench and latter one to start. More about it tomorrow.

Matarazzo played central defender full 90, Phillips DNP.

is dooley still the general manager there (sporting director)? is he working his coaching liscense?

Matarazzo started last season on the bench I believe but quickly earned a starting spot at defensive mid. In high school he played attacking mid, but was a defender for club and college (Columbia). He is tall and very solid technically. Hopefully they'll get promoted this year, they just missed out last year.
