Rooney looks almost certain to miss this summers world cup with a broken foot.
Anyone know of any other big name players who will/could miss out this summer.

costacurta is past his prime. He was a constant liability against Barcelona...no speed what so ever. He is smart I will give him that, but for you to say he is better then Jorge Andrade is rediculous.

i can still name 5 italian defenders better then him, andrde is nothing special, definately not top 5 in the world.

shevchenko has less of a chance then totti. totti is a for sure, he is coming back on thursday, for the copa italia final. Also Vieri has no chance he is out of the world cup 100%

Good news about Totti. He's one of the players I look forward to watching this year. Hopefully Messi and Rooney will be able to play too, although it looks bad for Rooney right now. It's a damn shame that the WC happens only every four years and some of the trully great talents have to miss it.
