The Mexican national soccer team's March 19 friendly against Bolivia at Texas Stadium could become an annual event if attendance reaches expectations.
Considering the match's short notice, attendance exceeding 35,000 would be a bonus, William Peterson, senior vice president of events for the Anschutz Entertainment Group that is promoting the event, said Monday.
"We're trying to find six or seven cities that we can take this team to each year, year in and year out," Peterson said. "Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and we feel strongly that Dallas should be one of those cities, and that's what we're aiming for."

They'll play at the Cotton Bowl.

No. It's one of the artificial surfaces that is approved by FIFA.

Herodoto....hold on.....they will play at Texas Stadium.
From what I hear from NFL players, they like the artificial grass they swear it feels just like Natural Grass.

If that info is true this is going to be a weird match to see. I don't remember any international friendly match played on a different surface than the natural grass. I am trying to remember a single match of this caliber played on this kind of surface, and I just can remember Pelé and Cosmos doing it. but it was 25 years ago. it will be something really weird, that's for sure

Bolivia hasn't played as a team for a very long time. Im not sure who is on the first team any more. I dont know if they even have a coach. I know the Bolivian federation has stopped relying on our proven players such as Platini Sanchez, Pena, and Baldivieso, but the youth players of BOlivia has done horribly for the nats. Too many new faces.
I see Mexico winning this one. Not a game worth bragging about.

But watch out for Jose Alfredo Castillo, the Bolivian striker who now plays for Tecos. He's real quality--although they still have to get him the ball.

I dont think Castillo will be playing.
As far as I know, the only other player that has played for the national team is Joselito Vaca. BOlivia hasnt used him for almost 2 years.
Win for Mexico.

How do you think the crowd will be...
99.5% Mexico fans
versus
.5% Bolivia fans
Just wandering anyone's thoughts...
When I was at South Africa v. Mexico.. there we at least 20 S.A. fans there...
looks like to be a fun game...
