Huge game for us obviously, as we need the points if we're going to hold Newcastle off.
Todd is out with his knee problem, but Tugay should be back.

At least we have more to play for than they do.
C'mon Rovers!

we're looking good so far. Sinama-Pongolle had a good chance to open the scoring and he and Bellamy have already shown a couple of moments of telepathy.

it seems that Curbishley told the club that he would be leaving at the end of this season. Is he off to the FA now?

Reid's free kick denied by a great Andersen save, then Pedersen puts the corner into the side netting.

Reid heads Pedersen's long throw in just before halftime, 1-0 Rovers! :)

Thats a nice way to move along contract talks, Reid.

Nelsen going off with some sort of injury. Bentley on, so I'm guessing Neill moves inside and Reid goes to right back.

we really don't need to be running short on center backs right now. :(

Chris Powell scores....for us. :D
S-P's deflected cross came in, and as Powell was trying to hold Bellamy off, Powell wound up getting the last touch on it.
If it hadn't gone in off of Powell, Bellamy would have scored it anyway.

That's the way, boys!
It's been fun watching Boro in the UEFA Cup this year. Our turn next year!

English teams have done well in Europe over the last couple of years, so let's hope we can get in and keep that trend going.

we totally dominated yesterday did not even have to get out of second gear. normally we have only lasted a couple of rounds in europe but hopefully mark hughes will turn that one round.can any one confirm that if middlesbrough win the uefa cup they will take our place (one of the itv commentators mentioned this on thursday during the game)

I would think they'd get a seperate entry as the UEFA Cup champ, and thus not count against the quota of English teams.
